Thanks people for predicting our Potters to make the playoffs. In order to do that we must continue to win. And if that happens we will be hosting a week 11 game. If you take a quick glance at our schedule you'll see why. IF we continue to win, our second level points from Zanesville (who will win out) and John Marshall will be the difference. Both of those teams play primarily DI and DII opponents. Not to mention Oak Glen who will end up with many points from DIII foes. Like I said though, we need to continue to win first!

Carrollton has their biggest game of the year this week against Marlington. If we could pull off the major upset things would definitely looking good for us.

Do you guys keep your starters in for a long time even when your up by 25 or more ? Did Dover take there starters out against you guys . Not ripping at all I know alot of HS teams keep starters in IMO way too long . Not trying to brag but if Steubenville wanted too we could put 60 something on many teams without batting an eye . We let everybody play everbody when we are up big and that means most of the 3rd quarter till the end. It helps our program and it makes all the kids feel like they are more than scout squad takling dummies. I look at alot of scores and know teams are just letting people have it .
We didn't really run it up against EL. We only had 25-19 lead at half and then scored 15 in the third qt. The td in the 4th we were just running the ball trying to run out the clock and our rb broke one for a 62 yd td.

They have a tough schedule with Marlington, Minerva, Alliance and Louisville left.
If they get on a roll they could host a game.

EL @ Salem in week 10 could be a huge game if one or both pick up another loss before this game. Could determine if a team is in or out.

I think you are right on. If the game was played between the twenties, I would say creek was in, but they can do little to nothing in the redzone.

I can't see anybody beating Big Red this year. So far we have played five good teams and our first string defense has not given up a point. Three of the teams we've beaten are otherwise undefeated. And we have played all Div. I and Div. II teams.

I especially feel sorry for whoever plays us in the first round of the playoffs in Harding Stadium. It's not going to be pretty!

With out a doubt the team to beat, but there are still a few quality teams for Big Red to beat. After seeing Big Reds defense today I feel they will be vey hard to score on. The offense has been questioned by some, but looked sharp today and if anyone in the state in Division III thinks they can put up big numbers against the DC team or the PA team they might be full of it.

It's delusionville, they don't lose until 6 months after the fact, then they are building the best team ever.

Not all people are of the same opinions. I wont clump any entire fan base into one group . I see that happen on here all the time . I do see your need to do that though ,it makes you feel a little better .

This Big Red fan knows that either of those teams can beat us . no doubt about it . We seem to have a nice Deffense everyweek another star player goes down . They are dropping like flies . We will be lucky to beat Massillon and or Ursulin . especially Massillon up in that place .

Calling out the swagger? Only if your name was Mooney could you get away with that statement and I see it isnt . When is the last time we lost in the playoffs and then a bunch of us get on here and say we are rebuilding . I never heard a Big Red person say rebuild . We dont believe in that excuse . We reload . Some years we are better than others . We compete every year.

Wow Dovr is out . IC and East Liverpool are now contenders . Edison will be in Lets get 5 OVAC teams in Lets keep several rounds local . Play in Wheeling 20 minutes away instead of an hour and half away in Canton . We always end up playing in somebodies back yard in the 3rd round

Alot of chatter about Marlington this year . Am looking forward to playing them . They played us with hostility last year . I think we will be more ready for that smash upside your face type they play this year I cannot wait . I hope we totally destroy them but I dont know about that . especially if we face them in the 3rd round and its always at Canton so a home game for Marlington . That is what I see on the horizon .

I think that’s a bit premature.

First, Dover must win out. There is a good chance that happens, with Coshocton being the only serious threat remaining.
None of the teams below Dover’s #12 spot will rise above Dover without a Dover loss.

Carrolton lost to Marlington so that should drop the Warriors below Dover. (But if Carrolton wins out they could climb back up a spot)
That moves Dover up to #11 this week.

Last week’s top four look pretty secure to finish in the top eight.
EL will play Salem. If we take EL to win, Salem drops below Dover.
That moves Dover up to #10 at the wire.

Licking Heights has a weak schedule for points for a D3 team – any loss and they are long gone.

Indian Creek, again with a weak points schedule, will disappear with any loss. They play Edison, so one or the other drops below Dover after that game.
That moves Dover to #9.

Granville probably loses to Newark Catholic.
That moves Dover to #8

IMO, most of the above are realistic assumptions – feel free to support any you dispute. Any of the teams in spots 5 – 11 are likely to drop below Dover with any additional loses beyond what I mentioned above. So, Dover could finish as high as #6, although I think #8 is most likely.
That puts Dover playing in Steubenville or Alliance come week 11 - neither of which is a likely win. This year's Dover team has committed many mistakes in fundamental play, and you won't be in the game making those kinds of mistakes against the likes of Marlington or Big Red. We get the errors under control and we can at least put on a good show.
