First year in our system is probably a little tricky for him to see how everything flows...and for us to learn the same about him. my guess is that is why the jet sweeps and wide out screens have struggled a bit early. With his type of talent I think as everyone gets more comfortable in the offense his productivity will increase. There are only so many ways you can get a player touches for his position. I think the staff is trying all they know. From my perspective the part of his game that will grow with his strength is to use that speed to run more vertical and break tackles instead of having to use that speed to run away from the pack. then his talent will jump to another level as he will be very effective in traffic. Just my thoughts...I am no coach or ever was a receiver. I know this much...he is a good kid and his family should proud of that. He will be a fine leader on this team down the stretch and next year and more than likely beyond that.
He is a very nice young man and a great athlete, and I'm glad he is a Red Rider. It speaks volumes as to the kind of character he does have, not once have I seen him hang his head or get mad cause he hasn't gotten the ball, he just lines up and runs the play that is called. Maybe we are just saving some stuff for the playoffs (That's what I keep telling myself

), and don't want to give it away if we don't really need too, but I would of gotten him the ball a few more times on that turf in Ashland. He is a playmaker, and gamechanger with the ball in his hands.
