What kind of shot did he take? Knee ...head?

He had a shoulder injury in the Woodland Hills game, game 2, and missed the next few games. Seems he never got his arm back though. Then in the playoffs he had ankle and arch injuries, which is why he couldn't do much running/scrambling.

Injuries absolutely put a damper on his senior year. Whether or not he is still struggling with them, I don't know. During Dwight's sophomore year, many were actually expecting him to be as good as or better than Zach Collaros. That is a pretty heavy burden to put on a kid and I always tried to warn people not to put too much pressure on him with those comparisons.

I don't know if that had any negative impact on his career, but that was certainly a tough act to follow.

Similarly, kids like Dwight don't come along all that often, either, and I have a sneaking suspicion that, next year, a lot of fans who weren't necessarily happy with his growth will realize how good he really was. I'm not saying that the next in line won't succeed and won't have a good career, but following Zach and Dwight isn't an easy thing.

There may be at least some correlation between Macon's incredible sophomore season and the fact that that was the last year that Bob Radakovich was the offensive coordinator for the 'Red.

JoJo Saccoccia and Mike Haney are doing a fantastic job, but it is hard to replace someone who has been calling the plays and learning offenses for 30 years.

Tough act to follow for sure. Wasn't/isn't Dwight a very young HS graduate? Didn't he start school a yr early? Amazing to think that this kid could be still playing HS ball(I don't mean redshirting either).
