The issue was originally jaywalking. Then it was walking away from the cop. Then it was resisting arrest. Just watched the video and I took two things from it. 1) What the hell is wrong with kids today her telling the cop get the fuck off me and resisting? and 2) The cop is a bitch and should hand in his badge if he couldn't restrain that girl she was small.

i never said they were equal, but the outcry would be the same. they would just complain she shouldnt have been tackled because she was a woman and why couldnt the cop cuff her without tackling her etc.

Instead this is a dude who can't get people to calm down enough to write them a jaywalking citation and then can't restrain a teenage girl and then when he gets nervous he just slugs a girl.

"This was not their first run-in with the law. In November, Rosenthal was charged with second-degree robbery when she allegedly punched a 15-year-old boy in the face. Two years ago, she was charged with stealing a minivan. In 2009, Levias was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly pushing a sheriff's deputy."

Marilyn Ellen Levias was at Burien center for troubled girls. Police were called when she was being abusive to staff. When policed arrived she pushed Deputy Ami Zarelli. She was given a deferred disposition because it was a first offense.
Angel Rosenthal when she was with a gang going to a rave. She punched a 15 year old boy in the face and stole his cell phone and $20. She hit a 14 year old and stole his hat. The charges were dropped when the boy refused to testify.
She stole a car, but as with her friend got deferred disposition because of a first offense.
She doesn’t live with her parents but at the Virginia Miller House, a residential facility with behavior-modification programs for teen girls,

Were they convicted of those offenses? Because that says "charged". Charged does not = did it.

in Washington that means

What a surprise, that girl sounds like a fine upstanding citizen. Whether the cop needed to punch her in the face or not, she had it coming and I don't feel bad for her at all.

So, it should now be commonplace to punch, kick, beat, maybe kill on the spot anyone who has committed a prior b/c that's what they deserve. Last time I checked that's not the definition of justice in the United states.

If our bleeding heart liberal society weren't so busy trying to excuse the actions of today's little thugs and thugettes like some on this thread then maybe they wouldn't act like these two did. Maybe they wouldn't think it's ok to break the law. Maybe they listen to the officer instead of trying to get away. Maybe they listen to the officer instead of fighting him the whole video. He should have just tazed the little biatches and been done with it.
