What Apple REALLY doesn't want you to know is that [This portion of the comment has been censored by Apple Computers Inc.]. Seriously, don't you think if that ever got out that Apple would be in some serious trouble?

Apple holding press conference this Friday http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2010/07/14/apple-press/

It appears as though Apple will be holding a press conference this Friday, July 16th, at 10AM Pacific Time to finally — officially – address the iPhone 4 antenna circus issue. Invites were sent out this evening to media outlets around the country. What do you think Apple is going to say?

One reason why I think this whole thing is overblown, anyone bitching and moaning about the antenna issue can return their phone to Apple within 30 days and get out of the contract at no penalty. Everyone on the planet falls into that category as the phone hasn't been out for 30 days yet. Just return the fucking thing if you are having issues. Everyone I know with one has had zero problems.

I agree it is totally overblown but I think this Apple caused it when they responded by saying don't hold the phone like that. I have had no issue with mine, like Justin posted why not return it for those that are having issues?? Best believe if after I paid 200 bucks for something and it wasn't working right I'd be taking it back, not blogging about it. IPhone 4 rocks IMO!!

i think the iOS4 has really tanked on my phone. I like the new features but the phone is way more glitchy now than with the old OS. I suppose it's Apple's way of telling me to upgrade, but fuck that I still have 1 yr on my contract, and 1.5 years on my protection plan.

Free cases for all iPhone 4 people, yay!!! I honestly haven't had any issues with the problem. I can recreate it, but it's never been an issue! I will be looking to get my free case though!

I like the fact that it's a single piece and that it won't make my iPhone 4 look like a 3GS LOL

What does the government decision mean? Can I jailbreak the phone without voiding the warranty?

100% certain you cannot. When you buy the phone, you abide to the terms set forth in the contract by the seller. They are not even legally obligated to provide a warranty, I don't think, and so would obviously be free to set forth any conditions on the warranty they choose. The warranty is included in your purchase, and if it was a deal breaker you are free to shop other alternatives. What they probably couldn't do is send a software update that fubars your jailbroke phone.

You can always restore the phone in itunes back to factory settings. If you have to ever take it in for service, just restore it to factory defaults and they would never know it was jailbroken.
