Forlan is sick, as I mentioned during the last Uruguay match.

As for the group picks, Spain I had winning and they look like a #2 from that group now. I think Swiss will muster at least 7 pts. I also had Chile coming in second behind Spain and I think unless they beat Spain, they are looking at 4 pts and 3rd place.

I had Greece second....derp
I had Cameroon second, which is still a good chance
I have Mexico winning and SA second which can still happen (oooops, I put RSA 1 and Mexico 2. Didnt mean to do that, FUCK)
I have Serbia second, and making it to the Semis.....so basically I am screwed unless they turn it around quick.

I think all my others are spot on so far.

I'm pretty good so far.

I have Denmark going through, which could go to Cameroon. I had Spain and Honduras out at first and changed to Chile the night before the tourney started. I ALMOST took out Ivory Coast and put Portugal, but decided against it. Good move!

Ivory Coast impressed me the most even though they had a scoreless draw. They are a very strong squad, I'm pulling for them to make a deep run!

The Toure brothers are just rocks for them. Yaya in the midfield/defense and Kolo in defense. If Drogba can go 70-90 the next two matches that will be in very good shape. It will more than likely come down to goal differential, and in that case I think Portugal has a chance to get blasted by Brazil, while CIV can hold Brazil in check.

Also, I just read an SI article from a few weeks back about Drogba. I've always respected his game but saw him as a selfish prima donna. My opinion has changed.

I've always heard how he "stopped the fighting" in the Ivory Coast, but I had no idea about that details. The article goes on about the whole civil war situation and how he requested his team to play in hostile territory and his request to stop fighting on TV. Truly awesome story!

Suarez is a fucking pussy..but I'm pretty sure you're thinking of #4? That is who was taken off.

Suarez is so fucking annoying..he has literally flopped 10 times..and he's like an Italian, pretending like he died.

I'm pretty sure that was Suarez with gauze or something hanging out of his mouth.

Definite penalty right there. Sucks for SA :(

Well cya later South Africa. Kune sent off by tripping up a man in free in the box. Tough call, but looks accurate. SA concedes a PK and loses a man and their keeper for this match and next.

He just got a penalty and a red card on Khune. It WAS a penalty, but boy Suarez made the most of it.

He barely caught his foot after going for the ball. That didn't look like much of anything. I don't really like the tackiness of these calls. Hell, people get hit harder than that and no cards are given.

Harsh red card. Definitely a penalty, but I fail to see the red.

After seeing the replays, it was definitely a penalty but not a red card. A red card must be a deliberate attempt to stop an obvious goal scoring attempt, ie going for someones legs while they are on a breakaway. That was a good challenge, he just clipped a little leg before getting ball.

South Africa is toast either way.

Foul on an attempt at goal, in the box, by the keeper......thats a red 95% of the time.

Guys, how was that not a red card? He fouled him and as the keeper its an obvious red card. It doesnt have to be deliberate, if you stop a clear scoring chance your done, see ya later. There is no arguing this call except that Suarez acted a bunch, but he was still fouled for a penalty.
