This shit is really rich, I get pounded for bringing up Italy's past success and how it translates in to current success but you're going to bring up a play that happened four years ago which CLEARLY wasn't a dive.
A.) I said defenders shouldnt go to ground.
B.) That is a dive if I have ever seen one. If you can avoid the foul, avoid the fucking foul. He was touched a little bit with his left leg, I dont doubt that. But thats the type of shit I hate, just fucking step over the defender. It was pretty easy to avoid that, he decided to fall over a slight trip and try to con the ref into calling the penalty. I mean, he stayed on his feet 2 seconds beforehand.
C.) I didnt bring up Italys past success. We were talking about dives, and this one came to mind as something that annoys me. Hell, I ripped into Ronaldo for his BS yesterday and was all over Andres Iniesta (one of my favorite players ever) for not avoiding easily avoidable contact today and embellishing stuff.
I ripped into Suarez today for his bs acting. He got fouled, but acted as if a sniper shot him with a .50 cal. I wont even go as far as to say Gross WOULDNT HAVE BEEN fouled, but he kind of falls over the defender. He started his dive before the foul. Just like Ronaldo started his dive the other day at the tp of the box even though he wouldve been fouled if he just continued to actually play.
That is more the issue I have here. People anticipating contact and thus starting a dive before any contact occurs. I despise a dive, but this is almost just as bad.
