Thank god some people (the district) realized how dumb this was and corrected the situation. I think individual public schools are given a tad too much power and tend to abuse it when it comes to certain instances such as this.

Your typical PC mentality gone wrong (again).

Thank God people higher up on the food chain understood the stupidity of the school's mistake.

But to many Mexican-American students at Live Oak, this was a big deal. They say they were offended by the five boys and others for wearing American colors on a Mexican holiday.
Newsflash, THIS IS AMERICA!!!!!!!
"I think they should apologize cause it is a Mexican Heritage Day," Annicia Nunez, a Live Oak High student, said. "We don't deserve to be get disrespected like that. We wouldn't do that on Fourth of July."
NEWSFLASH, THIS IS AMERICA!!!!

Love it.

Unfortunately, that can't happen. And the higher ups at the school made the right choice anyways, can't punish them all. Whoever made the initial decision deserves some kind of punishment for being a dumbshit though. Maybe ask for his/her green card--since that's considered punishment now.

Read this Speech and tell me this isnt just another cog in the wheel to the ultimate demise of our once great nation?

This asst. principals idiotic move is dwarfed by what really is the root of the problem here in the US.

Is it a dick move (wearing them to deliberately get a rise out of people, knowing the makeup of the class)? sure.

Are they (the students wearing them) well within their rights? Absolutely.

But as usual, a school oversteps their bounds and pulls the "disrupts the educational process" card. That's a blanket term that covers all of the bullshit rules schools come up with instead of actually focusing on classroom content.

Time for some serious lawsuits against the decision maker as well as those pansies that said they were offended.

I wouldn't have left if I was the students. They would have had to call the police and had to drag me out for wearing an American flag.

It isn't a dick move, it's DISCRIMINATION.

A minorities favorite word.

But you're right, I forgot, it's impossible to discriminate against a white American citizen.

Where is the ACLU for these boys? I guarantee that if this was reversed and they had been kicked out for wearing a Mexican flag, the ACLU would be suing right now. Just goes to show how much hatred their is for America.

Seems like Mr. Lamn just picked out things he didn't like and said they were going to destroy america. I didn't think it was that great or proved anything.

Someone should give the ACLU and Jesse Jackson a call. See if they can help.

I don't think the ACLU will bother since the matter seems to have already been dealt with (corrected) by higher-ups.

I'm against the idea of a student not being allowed to wear a harmless t-shirt and I don't believe they should have been forced to remove the shirts.

That said, I wish someone would've kicked the shit out of them, as the school feared.

Kids are douchebags for using the ultimate symbol of our freedom in this manner. I'll bet it never occured to them to wear this gear on any other random day, so why all of a sudden on Cinco de Mayo???? I'm more than willing to bet it their intent to send a message to the hispanics at scholl: ASSIMILATE!!!!! Fuck that.

If it wasn't their intent then I'm wrong, but I think I'm right.....
