I LOVE Chris Jent and think he will get a job eventually, but I think this is a stretch. Obviously the Cavs are only looking at Jent because of his relationship with Lebron, but if Lebron does stay in Cleveland, I would think they would be able to attract a bigger name.devil1197 wrote:No, but he is in the running possibly, a very slim possibility. Jent is very good at what he does and has the respect of LeBron. But this is coming from the Chicago Sun, so I doubt it.thedynasty1998 wrote: So the Cavs fired Mike Brown to hire his assistant?
I understand how tight Lebron and Jent are, but this just doesn't make sense. You want a coach who isn't a "yes sir" to Lebron, and that's exactly what Jent would be.
I don't think he is a "yes" man to LeBron at all. LeBron went to him for help, not the other way around. Obviously LeBron is listening to what Jent is saying and not just doing what he wants.
But I guess that it's only a rumor at this point. Personally, I still think there's a chance that Ferry is let go. The whole organization is in limbo and it's just really hard to speculate what might happen at this point.
