I understand some are in the playoffs, but hey, my team isn't anymore so it's unofficially the offseason for many teams. If you're team has already been bounced or didn't make it, what would you realistically like to see your team do in the offseason. For those still playing, you're welcomed to join at anytime. The LBJ firestorm will be upon us sooner or later.

I'm a Heat fan, so I'll talk about them. Players think Wade will resign back. He's bummed out, but continues to say he'll be back if the FO can do their job. The Heat really want to sign Haslem back, but I don't know if they can. I figured he'd jump all over that, but he's mentioned he'll do whats best for him financially for his kid's and mother that has cancer. I think JO is gone from Miami. When talking about Wade resigning with Heat he said 'I believe he will resign with THEM'... as in, he doesn't figure to be a part of them anymore. I really do think the Heat try to trade Beasley if they get another Max player. Maybe for another piece, or to move up a lot in the draft to draft a young C.

I think if the Hawks get bounced, JJ will RUN away from Atlanta as fast as he can. Getting upset isn't a good way to keep a player that isn't worth the max that will possible get it.

I think Wade is as good as gone.

I also think Phil Jackson will be on the market as well.

I agree about Wade. Despite the lure of Miami I think that he may see this as an opportunity for a fresh start. For everything the Cavs have arguably done correct to attempt to keep Lebron, Miami has done the opposite.

I could see Wade being tempted to return home and form the fastest backcourt in the league with Derrick Rose. Couple his impeding free agency and the ugly divorce he is currently going through and I think Dwayne Wade will look at this as a chance to rejuvenate his career after a few rough years since winning the title.

Pat has done exactly what he should have. He didn't panic and has bought time until he can really change this team around. As good as Amare and Boozer are, if they Heat would have traded for them, it wouldn't have been enough to even get them to the finals, even maybe the conference finals. This Heat team wasn't going anywhere special with Arroyo at PG, Q as SF, and Oneal at C. They both knew that. Any type of moves would have put a good dent into Pat's ultimate plan this offseason. Pat didn't want to be the Denver Nuggets (competitive year in and year out, but NEVER going to get close to that ring), so he took his bruises for a CHANCE to possible create a dynasty. Will it happen? Hell, I don't know. He has to lure in a max player, that is HARD to do. But he knew this was the only way to create a championship team. If he doesn't get one, he loses Wade. It's a high risk/high reward type decision. It's what Pat does. He's made horrible moves. He's made great moves that got a ring when nobody saw it coming.

The big stars LeBron and Wade stay.

Bosh will leave.
Amar'e may leave depending on if the Suns lose or not to Portland.
Dirk stays with Dallas.
Pierce stays with Boston.

Allen, Martin, Johnson all leave to find different homes.

I expect Bron and Wade to stay, and I really think Bosh goes to Miami with Wade.

Who knows at this point, but I would also expect Cleveland to try to get another star.

I've always heard that Bosh and Wade are good friends, but that's just from reading things. I think Bosh is huge this offeason, because he's a guy who can play with another star and not mess with the chemistry. He doesn't need the ball to go through him to put up numbers, so he would be great alongside Rose or Wade.

I don't see Rose and Wade working together because both dominate the ball.

For all the hype for this offseason, I don't expect the landscape to change too much. Joe Johnson will bolt and I think Bosh does as well, but the others I see staying put.

And whoever gives Kenyon Martin a bunch of money is making a huge mistake. He's not a bad player, but he has the luxury of being surrounded by really good players in Carmelo, Smith and Billups.

Besides Lebron, who should the Cavs go after, assuming Bosh ends up in Miami?

From the list above, I don't know if there is anyone the Cavs will really pursue other than Bosh and maybe Ray Allen. I would say Stoudamire, but the Cavs weren't willing to part with Hickson for him, so they must not be crazy about him.

Bosh would be HUGE, but to reiterate what Noah said, who really wants to play in Cleveland when you can play in Chicago or Miami?

Cleveland will make a big/moderate trade if any move this summer outside of the MLE. Gilbert and Ferry have stated numerous times that they won't sit around and let other teams get better to take LeBron away.

It's not just a FA period loaded with top talent, there are a lot of good FA's this summer. The Cavs should look to get younger and deeper, they don't need to make a HUGE splash--although Gilbert and Ferry will try. But they won't sell out to do it, no reason to.

I'd like to see what they can do about getting a true C for the future. I love Mo, but we can get a better PG possibly--with Jamison, Mo's scoring isn't AS necessary, so it'd be great to find a good defender at the 1. I don't, the Cavs are sitting pretty, they're in a great spot right now IMO. We don't need much.

BTW, Wade stays in Miami. Book it. Pat Riley has done a brilliant job of keeping a competitive team and setting up for this summer without scrapping a season (or multiple) like the Knicks. The Heat will be contenders in the East next year.

Isn't it known that Bosh doesn't want to be the sidekick to anyone? I know I've heard that somewhere. Maybe it is just a rumor.

I don't know what Bosh's deal is. From a competitive standpoint, Toronto just won't get it done. He'll make more money there, unless he does a sign and trade somewhere. Which if any big star goes, I fully expect sign and trades to be done.

I'd really like to see the NBA shake up. It's about time for something new. I'm just really excited as a Heat fan. They can have a shitload of money if they cut James Jones and trade Beasley for pure cap space or a future 1st. It'd be awesome to get rid of Cook, but I don't see anybody taking him for 2M. Pat can go a lot of different routes.

Just from how Wade reacted to losing in the first round, I won't be surprised one bit now if he leaves. He has nothing around him in Miami and unless they land Bosh, Wade will bolt.

Pistons have little money (Thanks Joe) but with the cap being a tad higher than expected, they may be able to sign someone to go along with their MLE. Have to get a low post prescence that can score, that's priority number 1. They will have a good pick in the draft as well so can improve there too. Trade is possible but they had better get something good in return.

On paper those 4 could be as good as: Bryant/Artest/Gasol/Bynum

I still wouldn't pick that team to win the West. I think they'd be a 50+ win team, but definitely not a favorite. Brooks is a fine player, getting better each day. Martin is a good player, but the type of player I'm not sure you win with. I didn't hear much about him once he got to Houston, I don't know if he was injured or what. Bosh is a very good player, but I still would like to see more from him. And Yoa is a very good player but he cannot stay healthy.

I don't see the Pistons doing anything to get back where they were. They might be a playoff team when healthy, but they've got to get big and decide what type of ball they play.

As for my Heat, I wouldn't mind seeing them pick up LBJ and sign somebody like Haywood for down low then get some people to fill in.

Wade and LeBron stay.

Bosh goes to Miami

Joe Johnson goes to Chicago.

I'd like to see Cleveland sign Ray Allen if possible.

Bosh seems to be heavily thinking of leaving Toronto. That isn't surprising. I'd gladly take him in Miami.

Reports coming out that ChiTown is LBJ's choice if not Cleveland, yawn. In another yawner, Raja Bell is pretty much asking to go to Miami. Speaking of Miami, Joe Johnson says there is mutual interest, yawn. A whole bunch of nothing, but something besides the LBJ/Cleveland firesale on here.

I'm now rooting for LeBron to leave Cleveland.

I've come to the same point with Cavs fans that I did with Browns fans years ago--I can't be part of this pathetic excuse for a fanbase.
