Naturally, the two best teams in the NBA will have their fan bases going to war with each other.. Especially when both franchises have the best and 2nd best (kobe) players in the game.

Secondly, history means nothing as us Cavs fans aren't debating the historical comparisons between the two franchises. We're debating current standings. LeBron is the best in the game and the Cavs have proved to be the best in the NBA THUS far... They NEED to finish the job this year.

well said. I've been saying this for the past month or so

Cavs fans roasting Kobe again. Sometimes, I wonder if you guys are jealous of the success he's had. Seems like you take joy in trying to bring him down a notch since your team hasn't climbed up a notch to the next level.

No seriously...two completely unrelated things.

I was justifying why I can not be too upset with the upset loss...becuase just 2 years ago they won the title.

This, I am saying no way does the title last year being won by LA have anything to do with this year.

Now, if I were an LA fan...and LA just lost in the 1st round to Portland...and I said "its' okay, we just won the title last year, can't win em all" THEN you would have a legit argument.

But ya don't.

Yeah JPake, Check the Cavs Celtics ingame, and the the LOL Lets talk about Lebron choking. This was started in jest because the certain Laker Fans decided they would show up after a few months talk some shit and then when Kobe decides to tap into his inner AI and go for 22 points on 24 shots they've disappeared.

I've already explained on another thread why I have been sparse. And, if one wants to continue to see me sparse, don't make ridiculous comments that I have to come on, and call people out on it.

Cavs are great this year, but doesn't mean jack so far.
That is my thought as well.

Regular season accolades do not mean anything. Just ask last season's Cavalier team.

This is just me as a casual bystander, but you Cavs fans are just setting yourselves up for the ball-busting of a lifetime from Laker fans and other people on this board, if things do not go as planned in the playoffs. If I were a fan of a team who dominates the regular season year in and year out, but bows out of the postseason without a ring year in and year out, I think I'd make a constant effort to not shoot my mouth off.

I don't want an accolade, I dont want an award, I don't want any credit for regular season "accomplishments"...I'm simply saying the Cavs beat the Lakers twice and have the better record by like 4 games. Just because LA won the title last year, doesn't mean Cleveland has to take a step back to LA until they win it. Cuz they don't.

Exactly my thoughts. If the Heat can't win, I'd like to see the Cavs. But this is reminding me of last year when people got pretty damn cocky, and pretty much laughed Orlando off, only to be sent home packing. I'm getting the same vibe once again. It's even worse though. More and more are starting to write off the defending champions. But hey, if you guys win the ring.. you called it. If you don't, you're going to look like an idiot just like last year. If your'e confident, that's great. But some of you are just plain cocky now. Either way, it's going to be ammusing to read the comments after the finals if the Cavs or Lakers win. There will be some roasting going on lol.

Kinda my thoughts. I like the Cavs chances this year and I will give shit to Lakers fans just because most of them are assholes, but Cavs fans shouldn't be talking any smack. With all of the bullshit that has gone on in Cleveland sports it just seems like the kiss of death to me.

Be confident in you team and once they win it, THEN be a complete asshole. :D People seem to have a short memory about LAST year.

Short nemory about last year, the 95-97 Tribe teams, the Drive, the Fumble, the Shot............

This is why I've tried to stay out of the trash talk between the Cavs and Lakers.

Yeah, those too. Just didn't feel the need to reopen wounds.

Like I said before about the Cavs (because I've seen this song and dance before) and to people who tell me to "enjoy the ride"....." Wake me up when they are playing for the championship THIS year because anything else is just another failure."

No two ways about it. If this team ISN'T playing for the championship THIS year, the season was a waste. I don't like hollow victories. Give me the CHAMPIONSHIP, not the "best regular season record in the NBA."

Not agreeing or disagreeing but this is a perfect example of why this argument gets thrown out right away. Don't make your point and then follow it up with something about last season. The past doesn't have any more relevance than the regular season.
