Lol, and states with really poor (black) people. Economics and racial makeup play a much larger role than gun restrictions laws jackass.

Yes because Alaska, Wyoming, and Montana have lots of blacks. But, but, but Chicago.

I said poor. Lousiana and mississipi specifically have a large poor black population. Gun laws do nothing to curb violence.

Alaska is from suicide as well. Good call. I'm sure there are many other variables besides economics and race, but "gun restrictions" is not going to be one of them.

Hmmm. factcheck.org.... suicides retard the gun death stats. Look beyond the numbers you read on CNN folks.

irearm deaths, however, include suicides, and there are a lot of them. In 2013, there were a total of 33,636 firearm deaths, and 21,175, or 63 percent, were suicides, according to the CDC. Homicides made up 11,208, or 33 percent, of those firearm deaths. The rest were unintentional discharges (505), legal intervention/war (467) and undetermined (281). Homicide data for 2013 don’t give us a clear picture of homicides only by firearm; however, 70 percent of homicides for the year were by firearm. The 10 states with the highest homicide rates were: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Maryland, Oklahoma, South Carolina, New Mexico, Missouri and Michigan. That lists includes six states that also have the highest firearm death rates.
The 10 states with the lowest homicide rates are: North Dakota, Vermont, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Utah, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts and Oregon.
The number of homicides that occurred in the first three states were so low that their death rates were zero. Wyoming is an interesting case, because it has one of the highest firearm death rates but a homicide rate of zero.

Gosh a ruddies blacks are the largest percent of the population in Mississippi, it is the poorest state, but Louisiana has a significantly higher murder rate, the highest in the nation. And it is because they have a more lenient gun regulation than Mississippi.

But to be honest, Izzy never struck me as a sheep as much as a never questioning, kool aid addicted, jackboot.

At least that is the internet persona he is striving for.

Sadly, it seems this particular political forum attracts a lot of those types. The really sad thing about that is that it should be obvious to anyone who spends time here, that this forum does attract, in general, a lot of (at least) reasonably intelligent people -- especially compared to the average comment section on any random web site. That makes the blind and vocal partisanship a weird combination of hilarious and pathetic.

gosh a ruddies, you don't really read these threads. if you did you would know there is a persistent drumbeat by the majority of contributors for policies and candidates that serve that support their narrow prejudices and limited self interest, while hurting those in need.

They have a higher murder rate because they New Orleans. When you many poor people in a small geographic area, crime increases.
