That doesn't surprise me....most narcissists can't understand why people think differently than they do.
Homosexuality has been considered a perversion in most of the world for thousands of years. People have been raised to believe in the depths of their being that it is wrong. Yet some expect that in the span of a few years that people can/will abandon their deep seeded beliefs in some sort of immediate, universal epiphany. People need time to adapt...and to come to their own conclusions about homosexuality in a secular society.

While equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientation is a righteous cause, it is a mistake to link that to abortion, which is a grisly violation of natural law. It cuts across all religion and gender. Almost everybody understands the need for laws such that people act responsibly...we have laws for traffic...laws for guns...laws for safety etc. etc . But somehow, when it comes to human sexuality, we allow and even subsidize irresponsibility..stripping the rights from the most vulnerable and awarding the power of life and death to the irresponsible.

A follower of Christ cannot align very well with either a democrat or republican due to (Abortion & Stinginess)

When you get wrapped up in being a lemming to the right or left you learn how not to follow the teaching of Christ but pervert your beliefs to tow a party line.

You do have it right though, the "Church", those who were raised to religious and to practice works to avoid hell, are really offended by Gays and all them Evil people out there, unjust and undeserving of our help, even if the Bible teaches love & peacemaking.
