Well, at least they were in the hospital for "a good 10 minutes" before he decided to pose the big question. Plenty of time for her to forget that he ran out of the movie theater faster than a speeding bullet and then sped away in his car.

Wow that dude ran while the girl stayed and protected the kids. Wow.
What a coward is right- I don't give a fuck how scared you are, you ALWAYS make sure your kids are okay first and foremost. How can a father run away from a dangerous situation not knowing whether or not his children are safe and secure? btw, I saw this interview last night, and I think the guy's a fucking dweeb.

I understand that the movie theater had no gun signs posted on the doors. As we can see, that worked out really good. Of course, the liberal solution is to ban guns even more.
Lol yea instead of 1 person w a gun multiple people w guns would of made the situation much better!! Especially most likely having absolutely no training when it comes to a situation like this. Awesome idea!!!

I don't think he drove away. He said during the interview that he was waiting outside in the theater lobby hoping they were ok. But he is a coward indeed. You just cowardly ran away from the theater while your wife staying trying to find a four month old and a four year, and now you expect her to say yes to you. If I was her,I would've said no lol

Can't believe the shooter had over 6,000 rounds of ammunition.

This whole thing is crazy. All those involved were saying he was targeting those who ran toward the exits. The shooter also propped open an emergency exit, that's how he entered the theatre? Wow. How does that happen without any alarm or exit check?

This stuff is awful.

Yeah said he exited the movie and propped open the door. That allowed him to go back to his car parked behind the movies and get his weapons. You would think that an alarm would go off but then again people use those exits after the movie is over as well.

What are they doing with his apartment. It sounds like they can't figure out how to disarm it.

Calling in the Feds to help disarm.

I must have misheard what he said in the interview with Pierce Morgan. I thought he said he left and went to a nearby mall until the coast was clear. I loved his excuse that he left because he "didn't want his children to be fatherless." Haha. Either way, the guy is a laughingstock.

Tough to read about the mother of the 6 year old that was killed. She is still in ICU and asks about her daughter as she drifts in and out of consciousness, not knowing she'd dead. No one has the heart to tell her as she fights for her own life. :(

My wife and I were talking about her. We both agreed that if I was going to be paralyzed and have lost my daughter, we'd rather just go too.
I just can't imagine losing my only child. If my daughter were to decease, I have no idea how I'd go on.

My heart breaks for this woman and their families. And all the families.

Wow that is horrible. I can't even imagine if that was my daughter. It's tough to hold back tears after reading that.

It's almost as disturbing, people thinking concealed/carry makes them more safe, that anyone could pull out a gun in a theater and start shooting.

Whats wrong with this country is that the shooter obtained all of his weapons and the 6000 rounds of ammo legally.
Makes zero sense that a civilian is allowed to own a military weapon, like an AR-15.

Ugh. A military rifle like and AR-15?

It really is a lost cause.

This semi-automatic hunting rifle is basically the same as an AR-15. Shoots the same number of RPM, but the AR-15 just looks a lot cooler.

The theater shooting is a perfect microcosm to show the effect of an unarmed populous.

I haven't been following this very closely just because of all of information out there(don't have time to read it all), but the shooter is in custody correct?

Man that's tough. These stories really hit you harder when you have a child of your own... I have no idea what I'd do if something like this happened to me or my daughter.

I know one thing, I wouldn't run away while my daughter was in trouble. I'd do everything I could to make sure she was safe. That guy in the previous article is a coward and doesn't deserve a family. Then again, neither does the mother... Who the fuck takes a 4 month old to a movie, especially a midnight showing? SMH.

Making guns illegal doesn't lower gun related crimes.

What countries have a higher murder rate than the USA and are guns legal there? Do you believe if guns were harder to get their would be less gun related deaths?

A few years old but I also found this-

Highest gun related death per capita: DC, where guns are legal

Lowest gun related death per capita: Hawaii, where guns are illegal

Making guns illegal wouldn't keep guns out of the hands of bad guys.
