Some Dems would try, yes. Some Repubs would ban teaching of evolution. Neither of those are realistic outcomes, and are not what people who have influence on success are arguing about.
Boogie reminds me of that guy that gets the remote choke from Darth Vader.

Just a week or two ago Biden was talking, again, about banning 9mm handguns. I think he actually said something along the lines of banning ALL semi-auto guns. Which is like 90% of all guns owned.

If it had been a white male gunning down black and/or muslim children, the manifesto would have been released immediately and the media frenzy would have started before the day was over. This isn't a difficult concept.

So today’s school shooter was investigated for making shooting threats against the school last year but wasn’t arrested, according to what I’ve read.
I want more details about this because this seems to be a theme. What did these threats entail, what was subsequently done and was he punished, and how did they prevent him from doing what he said he would do?

We have a vastly ignored mental health crisis in this country but nobody has the political fortitude to address it.
I read online that there were complaints he threatened to shoot up the school last year and while it was investigated nothing was done…..not a good look.
When my middle son was suicidal for a year or so in HS we got told by the hospital we had to lock up all knives even butter knives in our safe….how did a kid get ahold of a gun when he was known to have threaten this before.
My sons all good and thriving in life now at 21, just was a rough couple years.

Your son had proper care and family support it sounds like. Seems like a lot of these school shooters (admittedly I don’t know anything about this current one) show signs of problems for years and often get no help.

When I see these potential types they often get cooler kids picking on them….I always let those kids know they need to stop it in general but really should not tease that kid. It’s a thing.

Honestly, I would rather bring back the days of kids fighting it out in the stairwells and the hallways than to completely ignore that our kids are becoming increasingly sick - especially since the Covid lockdowns, which have had severe repercussions on their health. A black eye is easier to heal than a gunshot wound.

Often times the kid getting teased would never fight…kinda understanding it probably wouldn’t go well, doesn’t mean they aren’t going to get them back somehow.
