Baseball seems unimportant with the news of Cookie being diagnosed with leukemia. But here we are.

Tribe needs to take both to keep pressure and momentum going on Twins. Regroup and reassess at the break.

I had a bad feeling about Carrasco and that is exactly what I thought it was going to be.

Sure hope all goes well for Carlos.

This two gamer feels like an obvious split but both teams are playing well.

Lots of Tribe fans in Cinci.

Bieber up with the bases loaded two out and BRF loves it.

He grounds out.

2-2 B6. (2 Lindor solo shots, one leading off the game)

I know offense is like 90% of what matters in baseball, but not at the catcher spot. I just don’t see how he isn’t an AS. Sanchez and him should've made it. He’s the best defensive catcher and his offense isn’t far off from everyone not named Sanchez.

Perez has certainly come around on being given the reins at catcher.  At the start of the season, we are like .....ehhhhh.

Now it looks like the powers that be were right for once.

I was perfectly fine with Perez over Gomes because I didn’t think Gomes was all that great defensively, and Perez was possibly the best in baseball. I never expected this out of him at the plate. Well, I did...but as a seasons total lol.

I really believe he is what makes some of these young guys work out so well for the Tribe time and again. Don’t think it’s a surprise he is always Bauers personal catcher. Not just calling a game, but he generates so many borderline strikes because he receives the pitches so well, and then is able to frame them because of that. Also think I saw he is tops in baseball at wild pitch avoidance. Basically expected wild pitches he blocks and keeps runners from advancing. Couple with his throwing out of base stealers...

Yeah... time to eat my words on the Gomes deal. Trust in Antonetti.

It would be great to see the Tribe complete the sweep and keep the pressure on.

The Indians have closed to 6.5 on the Twins and have moved into the second Wild Card spot.

Wild Card Standings

1) Rays

2) Indians  1/2 GB

    A’s  2GB

     BoSox  2 1/2  GB

     Rangers 3 1/2 GB

      Angels 6 GB

They really are. I’m so glad some of the guys aren’t wearing sleeves. Even Joey’s cut off sleeves look awesome.
