Alex Gordon?

Good one! He might. Not  much power but good numbers for a decade.

I’m having trouble going through current players as I’ve been wrapped up in my old cards and all this trivia. The stars are easy but the Alex Gordon’s aren’t coming to me.

When the season gets back I’m going to be all in. Short season, gives lesser teams a chance. Can’t wait.....until then it’s Eddie Murray, Mike Schmidt, Don Sutton and Wade Boggs for me lol

Another good one. He’s played about 15 years.

Question #229

This post 1970 player didn’t get many MVP votes in his pretty long career....but one year he led the league in hits, triples, 6th in average and runs scored and top 10 in SB and total bases.....and did it as a SS.....but finished a ridiculous 25th in MVP voting

Only other SS I even know that would come close to those stats:

Ozzie, O, Larkin, Templeton.

If it’s one one of those 4, I got nothing haha

Templeton it is....had 3 huge years leading league in triples all 3, nearly 600 hits and hitting around .320 from 22-24....traded for Ozzie and never was a star much after. Cleared 2000 hits

Question #231

Name these two pitchers

Up to age 27 these two pitchers had fairly similar careers and projections were also supposed to be similar even though Player A had a career ERA+ of 85 and player B had an ERA+ of 110, in fact player B had a decently better ERA, WHIP, FIP, strikeout per 9 and k/bb ratio.....nonetheless player A also got the huge contract.

Since the large contract of Player A....player A has went 31-41 with a 5.06 ERA, an 83 ERA+, 1.450 WHIP 2.42 k/bb. During that same timeframe player B has went 97-44 with a 2.82, ERA+ 150, WHIP 0.981 and k/bb 5.56

Finally, since then Player A has 445 strikeouts an Player B has 1628

My guess was Hudson and Zito. But then you framed it as currently pitching vs retired.
