I would’ve thought Granderson got 100 with three teams. Was it NYM or Detroit that he fell short?

And then the Yankees stepped in and said “hey, those kind of numbers belong with us”.

And it was done.

Well....kinda with the answer lol

His huge accomplishment was against the Yankees that first year.....later in career played some for Yankees

Question #166

This HOFer once led the league in sac bunts and in a different year led the league in sac flies. He is primarily known for his HOF team, but his best years offensively were with another team.

I think you guys will get this quickly...

Its Alomar. Shocked me someone could lead in sac bunts but also in sac flies.

But yeah, his best years offensively were the 2 in Cleveland and probably 1 in baltimore. Could argue his other year in Cleveland was his 4th best. But, in as a Blue Jay because of longevity there.

Question #165

This player at age 18 in the minors hit 41 doubles, 25 HR and 56 SB....in under 140 games. The next year at age 19 in just 116 games in the minors he had 115 runs 27 doubles, 34 HR and 30 SB......he got the big league call up and did something even better.

Name that player and accomplishment

I didnt even see this one. But, I have no clue and wouldnt even begin to know where to guess.

I remember that. Figured it had to be him or A-Rod with the power/speed combo, once you said it was in the 90s.

Question #167

Bobby Bonds held the single season strikeout record for over 30 years....then the GOAT Adam Dunn came along....BUT just before Dunn there was a 1x all-star that was destined to go by Bonds record pretty good but his manager held him out the final 4 games of the season and he finished the season 1 short of Bonds record.

Name the should’ve been strikeout king

Timeframe? Since Dunn smoked that records like 6x lol.

Granderson is my first guess?

Nope...wasn’t as good as Granderson. The year he would’ve passed the record was his only time as an all-star....was on a terrible team
