No, I'm just tired of supposed "nice guys" whining and complaining about dudes that get the girl. Most "nice guys" are boring, they just expect women to naturally be attracted to men who treat them well and can't fathom the fact that they might have some fatal flaw that's keeping them from laying the wood.

Nice guys is in quotes because there are no nice guys, you know you just want to plow her just like everyone else, the difference is, your boring and the douchebag is not.

No, considering you seem to have no self confidence and are obviously a nice guy. Newsflash, girls don't want a "nice" guy. They want a mix of an asshole and a guy who can be nice at times. Girls need a guy to be an asshole (not too much of one), just to push their buttons because they love drama (as much as they don't want to admit it). 10 internetz to sleeper. Sums it up in this post. Girls don't want the boring nice guy. If you are this nice, wholesome guy they figure you're lame in the sack and discard you right away. It's just like how some women judge how good a guy is in bed by how good of a dancer he is.

LOL. It's nothing everyone else hasn't been through before. I just learned the lesson early, and over the years it has allowed me to observe and study without getting caught up in the drama.

I'm with ya brother. Although I have been with the same girl for over a year and have not had any drama thus far. She's opposite of every other girl seemingly. Before that I had the same attitude as you and would run through them and discard them like the trash they were. And guys like Darbypitcher probably whined and couldn't figure out why I was banging all the chicks they wanted to and treating them like shit while they were at home masturbating on the internet.

There are always exceptions. If I find one then I would have to come up with a new philosophy for dealing with her. Luckily, I can read a woman like a book, so I know right away what she is.

Darby, there is one thing in life you need to understand: if you're a nice guy and aren't getting anything...the problem isn't that you're a nice guy...it's something else. Lack of assertiveness; inept social skills; trying too hard; whatever...that's what's killing you.

I know from experience. In my past, there was a girl who I wanted and should have had (at least for more than messing around with on occasion), but I was too concerned with proving I was the shit compared to another dude wooing her. Her family LOVED him...but I got the feeling she was more into me, but I screwed it all up because I looked at it as a competition...as opposed to actually giving her a reason to want to be with me.

With the women who turned out to be my wife (at the time...we're divorced now...so take that to mean that whatever your conception of love is...it's a damn lie!), the first time I hung out with her, I was just calm and casual...like I was meeting up with a good friend. I didn't hit on her...I was just a dude drinking a few beers and chilling out. Heard through the grapevine a day or two later that she was completely into me, so I instigated things the next time we met and things progressed (and eventually regressed) from there.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Try too hard and fail miserably...take a "whatever happens, happens" attitude and at least get short-term success.

Nice guys do get girls. But boring guys that think that their niceness makes them lose chicks are pathetic. It is something else. I know you are a decent guy from your posting on here Darby, so you have the nice down. But you have to be engaging, assertive, and sarcastic as well. Oh, and you have to be an absolute man in the sack.

You can get girls man, just amp up the confidence and the assertiveness. People are no different than animals; animals use different methods to compete and attract members of the opposite sex, the females don't just fall in the lap of the males. You have to go out and get them.

I was excited, because I was going to finally be able to make a point without quoting someone else.

But, right there, in the last post, was pretty much exactly what I was going to say.

If you're TRULY a nice guy, you don't have to announce it, and you definitely don't have to play the "why is she with HIM?" card. I'm a fairly decent person, or I try to be, and I've done average. Missed/been hurt by some girls, done well with others. In the times I've failed, whenever people would say "Well, it's because you're too nice", I'd always laugh. It has nothing to do with that. Also, if anyone's aim for being a nice guy, or a nice person, is mainly to attract a member of the opposite sex...that's going to be a long road.

I've always been a much "nicer" guy than most of my friends, but I've also been quick to be a dick as well. You have to know how to balance it, whether with sarcasm, crude jokes, etc...
I have to say, I did pretty well for myself.

Most women are not as high up the evolutionary ladder as they like to think they are. They are still attracted to that man that in their mind they think, can protect me, satisfy me in bed and at times let me lean on their shoulder. Plus, quit being nice, being a dickhead is fun, just get over seeing them cry and not bother you and you have it! lol

i agree with most posts on here.....i think girls want you to be in charge and ask for what you want even damand it. they like a man who has the confidence to come right up to them and say it. i know a lot of hot chicks who have problems meeting guys because a lot of guys are scared to talk to them because they assume the girl either has a boyfriend or that the girl would not be interested in them and these girls are home alone half the time or start dating loser "dbags" because at least these guys have the confidence to step up to the plate

I facebooked something similar a few weeks ago.

I was a Pappadeaux (an upscale restaurant) in Houston. I saw 3 pair of JORTS in there. I was making fun of them and all that shit, then all of the sudden, a hottie, I mean like a 9-9.75, sits down with one of the dudes in Jorts. I was crushed.

I was considered an asshole in college because I wouldn't date, but guess what, there were plenty of girls who were interested in the same things. The only thing worse are the losers that complain about not being able to find a date.
