Anderson is the 6th man of the year, whether he wins it or not is the question.

The media is coming around too.. Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson were talking about it during the Cavs last game on ABC.

As JVG said, the 6th man award isn't about scoring, it's about what you bring the team off the bench.

He's the first guy off the bench on the team with the best record.

If Kobe could win the MVP just because he was on the team with the best record and he didn't have the best #'s (LeBron did) then Andy should be able to snag the 6th man.

Odom doesn't come to play every night though. AV brings his energy every single game. You'll never watch a Cavs game and think that he didn't leave it all out on the court.

Also, after reading some of thedynasty's comments, I'm going to assume he doesn't watch much basketball.

The 6th man doesnt always play for the best team...not sure why that means you're entitled to the award if you play on the leagues best team and you're the 6th man.

I think Odom is the best, but I think AV is better that Anderson by a good bit. I hate saying that since AV is the one Cav player that I cannot stand.

Since Shaqs injury he's averaging near a double-double and is shooting 76% from the field... And no, it's not all off feeds from LBJ. Andy has developed a nice little post game and has even show cased a mid range jumper.

SQ: I think Andy should be recognized for what he's done. I would probably put him into the top 5 consideration with the likes of Ginobli, Crawford, Odom, and Terry. I'm not a big fan of the +- or PER stuff. I think it's poppycock. Although I like PER better. The +- stuff just depends way too much on the team, but yet, it's an individual stat. Let me ask you this.. who would you want more... Bosh or Andy? Actually, your crazy ass might take Andy based on what this team needs, or however you'd phrase it. Most people would say Bosh in a hurry, but yet, Bosh is -0.1 on the court. Is that stat telling me that one of the top 10-15 players is actually hurting his team.. or that his team isn't that great and it'll pull down an individual stat? Is that stat telling me that Crawford and Terry are actually hurting their teams? And where are you getting this 12.6 Andy stat from? Is it 82 games website? Please tell me if I'm looking at the wrong stat because I might be, but how is Andy 2nd when guys like Josh Smith 15.2 and Horford 14.5 are ahead of him, amongst others? Look I respect Andy's game and his effort. But if he were on the Nets roster this year, he's probably averaging 5 ppg and 8 rpg. He's just not that talented. I get what you say with his value off the bench because he does bring energy, but to say he's the Cav's 2nd most valuable player is just laughable.

I doubt that. The Nets woulf probably have 5 more wins than they do. AV would be getting 30 minutes a game, easily averaging a double double.

Don't know if he's the second best player on the Cavs, but he would be missed the most after LBJ...if injured.

No, Andy shouldn't be starting. He's best off the bench because he brings energy and to the second unit and also can be a spark plug to the starting unit.

He's NOT a better player than Mo, Antawn, Delonte, or some of the others, but what he brings to this team is just as important..

In fact, I'd go ahead and call Delonte a "mini" Andy V, because he plays with the same type of energy. Delonte is a very good rebounder for his size and is also abusing other guards down on the block with his post up step back J.

Because his defense, rebounding and hustle, mixed in with his uncanny cuts and ability to get under opposing teams skin make him the 2nd most valuable player. What he does for this team is amazing.

I've seen some stagnant Cavs games recently. They're going through the motions and waiting for the playoffs.. They've been trailing in a couple of them to some scrub teams, yet Andy is always providing a spark.
