haha i asked this guy i knew back in highschool why he started smoking. he said the cool kids were doing it. i kinda thought that is what they said back in 1950s or something, not 2000.

The bone smokers are too busy buying green team apparel and saying "I don't care that my last name is Maciejowski, everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day!"

You have an Irish sweater???? What the hell does that even mean??? If you wore a fancy sweater to bar with a bunch of drunks then it probably deserved to be burned.......

One time I wore a white polo shirt (green hat) to a huge STP Day bash. Needless to say it was gold when i woke up the next morning (insert golden showers joke). I learned my lesson. This is your lesson......

Never happen. It's a nice theory though. What's one of the most stable industries in the United States and has been throughout the existence of said industry? Big Tobacco. I don't think you realize how much money the government makes off just cigarrettes alone every year, not to mention dip, chew, cigars etc. It more than offsets how much it will cost them in healthcare. That's like saying they're going to outlaw prescription medication, which is basically the same thing, it just funds the government more directly than big tobacco does...and that will happen right after hell freezes over, thaws out, and refreezes.

I really don't mind smokers, I just wish they'd be more respectful of non-smokers. Most are, but occassionaly you'll get the CLOWN who blows smoke right near your face which is annoying.

You'll still be paying 10 dollars tax on a pack of cigarettes though. The government knows it can raise the tax pretty much as high as it wants and people will still buy them. Pretty handy having an addictive substance to tax.

No, it will cost the government a lot of money in taxes. They paint us as these evil-doers but they sure don't mind taking the taxes.

Actually, all the people who like to bash smokers.... guess where alot of the extra tax money they pay goes.

That's right... it goes to varying forms of healthcare (government provided insurance).

As for the topic.

I don't really mind the smell cigarrett smoke. As a former smoker myself, the only time it really gets to me is when I'm drinking or after a big meal. Cause it makes me want it!

Truthfully, smelling somebody with cig smoke on them is no more repulsive, to me, than smelling somebody with stale beer breath or some other type of alcohol. Or what about people who've had a garlic bonanza for dinner? Talk about being able to fill up a room with odiferous exhalations!

Don't worry :)

This thread is really just an example of petulance. Nobody really wants to literally "kill".

Well... maybe some ;)
