Carter put his hand on Weis's shoulder too. Weis also ducked, he wasn't a true 7 footer we Carter went over him either. I can play this game too.
And you're completely retarded if you think that that situation presents itself in every game. And like I said, others could do it but I didn't say the whole NBA. It was a great dunk, but it's overrated. It doesn't present itself in every game, that has to set up perfectly to be able to do it--and when you're on the court, your first thought isn't to jump over him. That just isn't how a basketball mind works. I doubt that was even Carter's thought, his thought was to go strong with it. I bet if you asked him, he expected to be fouled.
Jumping over something and being contested are not equals. You're stretching your argument A LOT to say that, and you know it. It's a hell of a lot harder to take contact that kills your momentum and still be able to throw the ball down--especially when it happens with a GIANT HOF shot blocker. There is much more difficulty there then just using the abilities of your body to jump over something--especially when the something just stands still and becomes a prop. Carter is 6'6 and at the time probably had a vertical somewhere in the mid 40's. So jumping over a 7-footer isn't crazy, it's math. He should be able to do it, he went for it and it worked. The situation for others who can do this most certainly does not present itself in every game, it still has to set up perfectly. But who is going to risk getting undercut by a shocked defender who sees nothing but your nuts coming at his face? It was more of a fluke than anything, and it worked for Carter. Good for him, it'll be one of the best highlights on his tape for the rest of his life. But still not his best dunk.
And I don't care if Nate Robinson's wasn't in a game. Just the fact that a dude an entire foot shorter than Carter jumped over a 7 footer (so he's 6'11 jpake, 7 foot in shoes

) and dunked is enough for me. You want to keep talking about how it happened in the game--and you're right it was a game, but it was against the French national team. LOL! You think Zo would EVER let someone jump over him like that?
Shaq?
KG?
Any big man in the NBA...
The answer is no.
