1-Michael "Air" Jordan
2-Julius "The Doctor" Erving
3-Dominique "Human Highlight" Wilkins
4-Vince "Poster Boy" Carter
5-Clyde "The Glyde" Drexler
6-Shawn "The Reign Man" Kemp
7-LeBron "King" James
8-David "Sky Walker" Thompson
9-Kobe Bryant

Vince should be ahead of Dr. J for sure. Jordan, Vince, and Dominique would be my top 3. Lebron has definitely been making his case lately.

HB.....please explain yourself in regards to Mike being the most overrated. You can't say something like that without no explanation.

It's an opinion, everybody will have one just as there are styles of dunking.

I'd have a hard time putting them in any kind of order, Dr. J was the pioneer, Mike had serious ups. Nique was a powerful SOB, Clyde was just so damn smooth.

I appreciate all their respective styles.

Hes overrated because everyone points to his foul line dunk as his defining dunk, and highschoolers can do it now. He did nothing spectacular, but because he was the best player to ever play....his dunking gets vaulted up there by peoples opinion of him the basketball player.

Hb, I know you voiced that opinion before, I knew that was to be your response. At least I thought.

I still think he gets credit for doing it first.

I also think Jordan is a little overrated as a dunker. Yes the way he floated to the rim was very graceful and he had some impossible lay-ups and shots. But his dunks were just not as jaw dropping as his other plays. To me Vince Carter in his prime is number one.

^^ That dunk is number one all time. Foul line was nothing when you can do it from half court.

Jordan did more than just the foul line dunk. Those entire dunk contests between him and Dominique puts anything from the about the last 10 years to shame. Carter will only be remembered for dunking a ball in one dunk contest and one dunk in the Olympics, nothing else. He is one of the most overrated players ever simply because of that dunk contest. He never lived up to what he could have been. No way is Carter ahead of him, Nique, or Dr. J.

Lebron is right where he should be on that list. Simply because 90% of the time, he does the same go full speed, jump high and throw down with 1 hand. Don't get me wrong, it's impressive because he is a physical freak, but he needs to do the dunk contest once and show off his creativity to move up.

Hell be remembered for that dunk contest, exactly. The greatest display of dunking the NBA has ever seen. Nobody is saying VC the player is good, VC the dunker is better than MJ or Dominique "Everything I do is a 2hand power dunk" Wilkins.
