Well most of the teams are bringing in new QB's and Wallace can run but I would take Hackett before any other QB in the league.thedemoralizer7 wrote: Wallace from Norwayne! thats a joke, i wouldnt put him in the top 5. he cant throw a football if his life depended on it.

is tuberville back for rittman? excellent reciever. As for Wallace - not a great passer, but a very, very good football player.

Ya he's back for Rittman. Rittman should be better this next year.1486wd wrote: is tuberville back for rittman? excellent reciever. As for Wallace - not a great passer, but a very, very good football player.

Wallace is a very good athlete.. He may not be the best passer, but I'd take him on my team in a second. I could also see Brandon Bauman and Jonathan Roseler on that list of best players at the end of the season.

This time of year we all talk about strengths of your team. I want hear what are your concerns for your team. For the Dogs what concerns me is not having any linebackers back. If the new LB's can play well our D will be just as good as last year.

I look for Smithville and Northwestern to play right with Mogadore this year if not both beating them.
Yes they do and both will be seniors. Very good backs, they lost 4 OL, their QB and 3 receivers and a TE...on offense they need to fill some holes. Some are very capable some we won't know till they are on the field.
On D they should be fine.

Northwestern only had 6 seniors on their entire team last year. McKean will be solid at QB again this year. The only concern will be size on the lines. Team speed is very good. Defense is gonna be stout (4 returning LB's). Looking forward to this year-shaping up to be very competitive in the WCAL. It will be interesting to see what the new coaches will bring to Dalton & Chippewa.

dhs - that is obviously the question mark position for the bulldogs, if they can get solid play at the LB, they will be very very good. I am also interested to see what kind of offense Billker runs at Dalton this year. He has said he likes the 4-3 on D which will suit Dalton fine, but he has used a variety of offenses in the past but has run the I quite a bit.

yes, the did lose a very good 2 way lineman in Barbera and a solid right tackle in Chris Himes. Both lines do return some solid starters such as Burns, Zeek, Miller on D and Burns, Miller, Horst on offense. Any guesses on who will step into the LB roles? I would think Kandel has a shot at OLB as he was penciled in to start there last year before he was held out, he is not real big but is fast . Other top candidates in my mind have to be nick keyes, chase moyer, tom horst, mo hostetler - others?

they have a lot of db-type kids that are strong tacklers, allowing some flexibility to play them at db or LB wherever they are most needed.

The link is a Heidelberg College interview with starting QB Andrew Miller (former Dalton QB) I came across. Too bad we didn't get to see this guy as a senior for the bulldogs due to tearing up his shoulder. Great kid with a good head on his shoulders. I saw a few of his games last year on STO - cannon for an arm.

Parent/player meeting Monday night. Like Billker a lot. Laid down the rules about violations of school policy and behavior with an easy to understand point system. Printed a practice schedule that goes all the way to December. Clearly loves the game and seems very happy to be where he is. His coaching staff is nearly complete and he had high praise for his reception by Ram, Doty and the kids. I'm greatly encouraged.

For Smithville, concerns: Replacing O and Dlines, skill players (WR/RB).dhs22p wrote: This time of year we all talk about strengths of your team. I want hear what are your concerns for your team. A small school like Smithville loses two D1 recruits. Obviously they have some holes to fill.

Dalton Assistants - Doty, Ryder?, Harmon and a guy not from the immediate area, begins with T? Not sure about Stuty, heard he has some conflict with his fall college schedule? But he's been around this spring and may be for the summer. Coach said he's not completely done with that yet.
