Thank You for your astute comments, Mr. Obvious. Way to take a side with that comment.killer_ewok wrote: So far today....all of the lower seeds have advanced in the Big East tournament. #3 seed WVU is either due or fucked. LOL

It was just a comment about how it will seem after a WVU win or loss, not a prediction about whether they will win/lose.

UC already looks tired, not good. refs sure are calling it tight too which does not bode well for them.

Cinci will make a run, but because itll be their 6th half in 3 days, I think they tire and end up losing by about 10.

What a finish! Dion Dixon will be living this ending in his mind for a very long time.

Cinci coach is at fault. Dixon played 0 minutes their last game and only 10 minutes tonight. UNLESS they were in foul trouble, which I dont think they were, why put him in the game for the last 6 seconds?

September,
Cronin has been making questionable personnel decisions all year long. I can count at least 5-10 similar circumstances this year.

Butler is easily one of the most clutch players I've ever seen. I think that is 3 or 4 game winning shots he has made this year now. The kid just does not crumble under pressure.

The best player in a Mountaineer uniform all season banked home a 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded, leading West Virginia to a highlight reel 54-51 win over Cincinnati.West Virginia, the only top four seed left standing, advances to the semifinals against Notre Dame.
"He called it,'' said Cincinnati's Lance Stephenson who was defending Butler. "He said, 'Bank.' I said, 'What?' I turned around and saw it go in. Oh man.''

That's a pretty sweet story.

Butler's shot tonight was in almost the exact same spot from which Jerrod West catapulted the Mountaineers over Cincinnati in the 1998 NCAA Tournament. That shot, also a banker.
Awesome finish. Elation on one side, pure dejection on the other. I love this game. March rolls on.

Cincy blew that game.. Actually, their coach blew the game..
Why do you have a guy in the game with 6 seconds left who has hardly played and expect him to be able to rush the ball up court in that situation?

I remember that game as well. UC has had several losses by buzzer beaters over the years. I remember Arizona had a big one as well back in the mid nineties.reclegend22 wrote: Butler's shot tonight was in almost the exact same spot from which Jerrod West catapulted the Mountaineers over Cincinnati in the 1998 NCAA Tournament. AD Mike Thomas has already stated on record Mick's job is safe for now. UC fans have been calling for his head all year.

G'Town routes Marquette now awaiting the winner of ND & WVU.
That was Marquette's first double digit loss of their season.
