This. If I still had any respect for them (which I did, as whether it was just to get people signed up, I thought it was a cool gesture to donate a portion of the membership fee to that kid...not cool enough to do so, but cool, anyway), it's gone now.

If you look at Alexa, they've fallen in the 3-month meter from 70+K to the mid-200K region. In the 1-month meter, they're well over 300K. They may have dipped below 100K during slow times in high school sports, but never fallen this far. They're scared our little site (currently 1M+ on Alexa) has ruined them, so they're trying to scare us into stopping so everyone goes back there.

Just shows how they have no perspective on reality. The only reason this site exists is because they implemented a yearly membership fee with next-to-no-warning and showed horrible communication skills when people questioned/objected to it. So instead of admitting they screwed up, they're playing hardass with the little engine that could. I hope they crash and burn.

In having drinks with a lawyer buddy of mine last night, I was just asking questions but never mentioned the site, he thinks adding more subforums that the othersite doesn't have would help distinguish that we aren't stealing their shit and that we are just doing our own thing.

Well, I didn't even give him all the details. He just said it as a way to distinguish from being a sports dominate site to a general site.

As an added note, the information discussed in this moderator discussion forum may eventually be discoverable (i.e. read by the other side in litigation), and it might be worthwhile to move the discussion to phones, rather than posting it here. Just a thought, in case anything comes of this.
