I have to spray my yard with a 50/50 mixture of bleach and water..and it's a fairly big yard. So I'd rather not have to use a pump sprayer and do it myself. Does anyone know of a place that does this? I tried Lawn Care companies and a couple pest control places..but they don't do it.

It's the only thing that will kill the disease in the yard that I need to get rid of.

I see, for the dog.

Probably not going to be able to get a lawn service to fill their tank with bleach. 50/50 sounds a little high to me, might want to research that a little. That high of a concentration would likey toast a lawn.

lawn should be dormant and it is early enough in the year he shouldn't have problems bringing it back by spring just overseeding it.

Parvo is likely dormant as well and not likely to be affected by treating it at this time.

Lawn will definitely be toast..but I don't have much of a choice seeing as how it can live in the ground for up to a year and a half. Gotta do what you gotta do I reckon. Have to get rid of this damn snow first!

Can't you just rent one of those big sprayers like at General Rent All or somewhere and do it yourself? Seems alot less expensive to me.

Parvo is a virus, and likely dormant 'till spring. I found several suggestions that a 1 to 25-30 ratio is sufficient to kill the virus and yet not harm the turf.

The parvo virus stays in the soil and does not go "dormant". Viruses don't go dormant homie.

He has to spray any exposed soil as it becomes visible, and spraying the snow where poop residue may be is also needed as well as cleaning all poop out of the yard.

i dont know specifically about parvo, but viruses can definitely go "dormant"

It's either dead or alive. It's not an airborne virus.

When the Parvo virus was first discovered , Texas A&M Veterinary school ran tests with all brands of bleach, and the only one that killed the Parvo virus was Clorox.

That's what I'm going to do...I wasn't sure if there was any place out there that already offered something. I was just seeing if anyone knew of anything or suggestions. Thanks.

25-30 isn't surefire...according to the vet...they said to make sure you get it, to go 50/50.

I have to spray any area where the dogs have went #2. Once the snow melts..then I'll have to do the entire yard.

GF says they say 50/50 because it's easiest to measure out, The lowest percentage vets are taught is an odd percentage.
