After the issues I have seen with the sprint pre, I stand by my statement that I do not trust the hardware right now. I have read many bad reviews of people complaing about the hardware breaking or being faulty about the palm pre. From the trainings I have done all of the improvements verizon has made to the pre plus has been software related. I have chose to wait a month or 2(so far so good) to see how the hardware holds up, because I dont want angry customers coming back with a broken phone, Especially with a proven commodity like the droid. That being said Webos is fantastic and I would love to see more palm phones with the webos.
And you also want to keep that return rate down...right?

some things with the nexus one that some consider positives and some consider negatives. The phone will not be sold and serviced directly in stores. you will have to go directly through google for any issues with the device. No going into a verizon store and leaving with a working model.
Most people don't realize that, and I'm glad you pointed that out. You can't buy the N1 in retail stores, and when something goes wrong...you are shit out of luck for the duration of time you have to send it to Google and wait for a replacement/repaired phone to be sent back to you. The N1 looks great on paper...but I really think Google screwed the pooch with that deal.
