He is an Ohio guy and all. Great coach. Has there ever been a more hypocrytical guy in College basketball? He had a complete disdain for the media, when he was coaching! Now that he is retired it seems he gladlt to accept ESPN''s $$$ to be a member of the media.

I'm not sure Knight ever had a problem with a color analyst.

Knight, to my knowledge, never had a problem with TV media. He had a problem with reporters mostly. He hated their arrogance, questions, etc. He has always loved what TV has brought to the sport. He had his own TV show as coach of Indiana.

Either way, if it was one of those two quotes. His displeasure to the media was directed almost exclusively to reporters and journalists etc. People who would write opinions and state things that he believed to be false. Guys who conjured up rumors to sell stuff, and most of all the people who would twist his words around from interviews or press conferences to make a story seem like something it wasnt.

I know Bob Knight is despised by most UK fans and while I understand the reason, there isn't any point in arguing it. The guy is in the position he is in because he has experience and accomplished a lot. Generally, I still respect his take on the game because he's brutally honest about his opinions. Sometimes he goes over the top, and he does buy into the ESPN BS at times. Afterall, it is his employer, and his job is to bring them ratings. He's also not often in support of the same school, people, players, etc...that I personally support (UK in this scenario), but it's not worth getting mad over it.

Love him or hate him, his analysis is always very interesting and he makes the game of basketball a lot easier to understand. He is an American basketball legend and I really enjoy listening to his comments.

My ex boyfriend saw him naked when he stayed at his grandparents house last year.

Aside from that...I love Bob Knight and enjoy seeing him on ESPN.

I liked him as a coach, but can't stand him as an analyst. He comes off as arrogant and I know that it shouldn't matter, but it really bothers me that he refuses to wear a shirt and tie and ESPN gave in to him.

lol, thats funny. Bobby once told me I had a terrible jumper and he was ashamed at all the other campers that I was able to win the shooting competition.

BTW, my shot is like Reggie Miller. Elbow flails outward (it really does look like a horrible shot), but I was able to hit about 42% from 3 in HS.

HAHA, I know that most people don't have a problem with it, and I don't know why I do, but it just adds to my thinking that he's arrogant.

No thinking about it. The dude is as arrogant as they come. But he almost always right (when talking basketball). I dont really have a problem with him not wearing a tie mostly because I think he comes off as an ass and frankly looks retarded on set. So I think he is hurting himself (but again, he doesnt give a fuck what anyone thinks).

I love the guy to death, but Im not above criticizing him or calling him out when he acts like a tool.

The thing is I actually loved him as a coach. And to be honest, I liked that he made his demands to ESPN knowing they were going to let him do whatever he wanted. But at the same time it's one of the things I don't like about him.

There's no questioning his basketball knowledge and his credibility though.

Are you responding to the person on your ignore list whose posts you apparently can't even read?

If you have a problem with me, please PM and let me know. Because I have no idea what your problem is with me. If not, then I'll assume that you can grow up and have an intelligent discussion with someone who may differ with your opinion.
