Further proof that one should never dip their pen in company ink. Ever! Especially if one is in a supervisory role... it is a no win situation... leading to discontent with the other staff members like yourself. Does his Mommy and Daddy know he is nailing the employees? If they think this is O.K.... shame on them. Good luck to you in finding a better work environment.

Then dont complain about it when there are millions of people who would kill to have your spot.

Is it wrong? On the surface it appears to be, but by looking at the schedule you posted you are working quite a bit and should be making alot of money on top of it.

Do you have a beef? You do, but this was the wrong forum to voice your concerns.

LOL great reference, ts.

Indeed, it is perfectly possible to be thankful that you have a job....and not like the job. It's not like that's too uncommon. And this situation is terrible, honestly. Like Ytown said, this is a no win, really.

That schedule is horrendous.

In your estimation, what makes it the wrong forum to voice concerns, or really just to vent?

I mean, I get it, people aren't working/Fab is working. BUT. If there's a legitimate beef/wrong.....should that be ignored, solely because there's money to be had?

She can't even call him out on Paul dating Crystal either. Paul's dad will just fire Crystal; it happened before there.

Paul is a complete douche, one of those dudes you see at the bar and just wanna punch; yeah that's him.

Yeah Paul and Crystal don't know that I know they are dating. I've been planning a way to let him know one of these days. Maybe something like "So did you give Crystal my Saturday morning so you can bang out Saturday night?"

I'm not going to say anything to Paul's parents. I'm not trying to get anyone fired or in trouble. Just want to have a decent schedule. That's all.

Real simple answer here...send Crystal flowers from Paul, with a baloon.

edit: and yeah, the florist will keep it anonymous if you ask them to.

That looks like an okay sched. You can get wasted Friday night, sleep in on Saturday then get to the bar around 11:30 that night, pound a few Jager-bombs and you'll be good to go.....

Sunday will be rough but it's only one day then you're off on Mon.

While I agree that the inconsistency sucks, and it's gotta blow getting off work at 11 and having to be there at 7 the following morning...it looks like he's trying to make it fair. You work early Friday, she works late. She works early Saturday, you work late. Whatever his motive is, he's at least TRYING to be fair.

Look at it this way, she's only working 1 early shift a week. The rest of the time, she's on the 3-11 shift. And her and Paul NEVER work together.

I don't know, I guess it's because I used to make schedules for a retail store..and I can understand what your manager is going through...that this doesn't seem that bad to me. Nobody is ever happy with a schedule...EVER. And every single person will bitch at you for it. I'm sure the chick he's boning isn't happy working opposite shifts of him every day, and working the late shift every day except one.

She goes to school during the day and was specifically hired to work 2nd shift...she doesn't want to/can't work 1st shift. And no one works together...it is just one person at a time so that's not really a valid complaint for her to have. Honestly...she has zero room to complain at all. This schedule benefits her as much as it possibly can. He's not being fair in the least. He is scheduling himself and her in a way that will allow them to hang out 3 nights a week. Meanwhile I have no life and am working 3 clopeners a week.

The fair thing to do would be to work 3-11 on her days off and 7-3 on my days off...which is exactly what used to happen until they started dating. I have had the same schedule for months and then it suddenly chnages. Hmmmmm.

I know you can't make everyone happy...I also used to make schedules. But this is literally ridiculous. I am the only person that's having to compromise and work a shitty schedule.

I'm not trying to be a dick Fab and stick up for your boss. He is clearly a twat if he only worked weekends and now is only working 4 days a week. No "manager" should have that cupcake of a schedule...ever.

I was just trying to play devil's advocate there.

No I understand and every thing you said would make sense in another situation. I just wanted to explain the facts and why in this situation he isn't actually being fair at all.

If whatever you do is busier in the morning, it might make sense to have a manager or someone more experienced(like you) there in the morning. and you can still go out on friday night and not have to work till 3pm saturday whereas she has to work till 11pm on friday night and be at work at 7am saturday(if anything, that is fair, you get one weekend night, so does she). plus you have sunday night, monday night, and tuesday night off to do whatever. i guess i dont see what is "unfair" other than it just being different from your steady 7am-3pm shift.
