He was the last musical guest on Conan's Tonight Show and gave a fantastic performance of "Long May You Run." It had been a few years since I'd listened to him, and had forgotten how good he was/is.

His music has held up remarkably well over time. Maybe it's just me, but I don't hear him mentioned with Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, and the other typically cited greats of that era, and he should be.

Amen brother.

My dad introduced me to Neil Young during a road trip one time, we listened to the entire "Live Rust" CD and I was hooked.

saw CSN&Y in Columbus a few years ago...obviously they are all legends. But when Neil had his solo segment, he pulled out his harmonica holder, his acoustic, and some rollicking piano...and he absolutely rocked the place and blew all those other old fogies off the stage. A true musical genius, imo.

I 100% agree. I can listen to songs like "Down by the River", "Like A Hurricane", etc. over and over and over again and always want to hear them one more time. I don't think he needs to take a back seat to anyone.

Cinnamon girl & Old Man are two of my faves... Also like the diversity with the International Harvesters... showing his country abilities and supporting the American/Candian family farmers with Farm Aid.

His music has aged fantastically.

I was just watching The Last Waltz today, and his epic (and...infamous) performance in that is great.

I am a big advocate of the entire Canadian music scene, really.

actually probably more of an "already was" than a "wanna be"...

...and a three time Rock HOF inductee as a solo artist, his work with CSN, and also Buffalo Springfield.
