We know the old saying that College is suppose to be the best years of your life..... but is it really? There is those who feel that they had more fun in High School and consider those years the best. Tell me what you think.

If you think College is worse than High School, then you either didn't go to college or went to a terrible school.

I thought the saying was high school was the best time of people's lives?

I definitely believe college was better than high school... but I sure as hell hope that isn't the peak of my life.

College. But HS was damn fun. HS had the athletics (as in I could play) which really pushed it pretty high up. I loved the year round competition (soccer, track, bball, and tennis)

However, college had so much more freedom and less amounts of work. My classes in college were much easier than in HS. I went to a private school in Toledo (Maumee Valley) and we had way to much of a workload for teenagers, it was almost unbearable at times.

I would say highschool was better. we are still technically a kid etc. but this doesnt mean college was bad, just different. and if i had the chance to go back to either knowning what i know now, i would pick highschool.

College was miserable for me because of athletics. It was all consuming, and it resulted in me missing out much of what many call the college "experience".

High school was more fun

I MAY go back to HS also, but only because my best friends are all from there. We went to school together from the tim we were 3 years old until we were 18. The experience of 4 yrs in college was more fun...but I might go back just for my friends.

Best time of my life is right now. College was a ton of fun, playing baseball and hanging out, but it's better now. I'm 32, established financially, and enjoying life to the fullest. I have a 4 yr old daughter and things couldn't be better.

Neither.

Pinstriper's situation is similar to mine. Thirty years old, married, 3 year old daughter and a son on the way in May.

High school sucked, college was a lot of fun at times, but this is the best so far....

I agree with Gobuckeyes1. I really started to enjoy my life after I was out of college and teaching and coaching. My biggest regret though, was that I missed a lot of my own kids' activities due to the coaching. Three of my four sons participated on my teams, so that was a nice chance to be with them, at least a portion of each day for four years.

HS sucked for me... my college experience was amazing though. Honestly looking back I'd say my first month of college was so much more fun then all 4 years of high school I had.

Swami can I ask what sports you did in college? I ran cross country and track and honestly I don't think I'd have as much fun in college if I didn't some of the best stories I have were from on runs or going to a meet. For me running in college was probably the reason why I had so much fun.

Fly I agree I really hope college wasnt the peak time of my life either haha.

Anyone that says college is a liar.

High school was hanging out with your friends for six hours a day.

Early mid-lifing was the best for me. Knew what I needed to know and had the confidence and means to do what I wanted to do. Thinking about maybe doing it again before I'm 40.

lol...what the fuck did you do in college. I lived with my 3 best friends for 3 years and hung out with all my others all the time. Freshman year for like 10 hours a day as we were all on the same floor.

High School was a blast

College is fun but it's a lot more stressful because I suck at it.... If I cut back on the partying it would probably be easier but thats not happening.

I commute to school and all my friends go to different schools. College is just more stressful. High school is the time in life when you're old enough to realize how awesome it is to not have responsibilities.

Sports were awesome too. I can't tell you how sweet it'd be to be able to have two hours of wrestling practice a day with knowledgeable coaches...for free. Do you have any idea how much that would cost out of school? I don't which means it would be crazy expensive.

ok, well we will have to agree that it depends on the college you attend. If you commute, I would for sure say HS is better.

Your second point though....I had just as few responsibilities as I did in HS while in College, but a MUCH bigger allowance :D
