Based on a few experiences I've had with change counting in the Mcdonald's line in our town, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the old lady has a valid argument. People are helpless when technology breaks down. If the change counter isn't functioning, the world at drive thru fast food joints often times comes to a screaming halt.
