We were discussing that last night actually.

Latest is..she did finally piss. A lot..of course. LOL And now whenever they open the cage to check on her...she tries to get out. That's her old self there..she's always made a bolt for the door when you open the cage..so those are definitely great signs..shes still not eating...vet said if she starts eating tonight and strengthens up a bit..she will probably be able to come home tomorrow.

That's great news. In regards to $$$ spent on pets, I'm not sure I could quantify a set figure for one of my animals. They really are like members of the family to us.

Keep us updated and good luck to your pup! Just curious, Will the vet let you go back and pet your pup? I bet she would be really happy to see you.

Nope..not allowed back with her..shes in isolation..we can see her through the glass..but that's about it. She can't see us. That's what we told the vet..she probably thinks we left her there!

Thats sad...Maybe you could bring her one of her toys or somebody's old t-shirt with their "scent " to sleep on to make her sleep easier.

Anyway for 200.00 bucks a night, she should be sleeping on a king size bed.

Good luck!!!

As of this morning..she's showing more signs of improvement..wagging her tail...panting..walking around a lot. She's not her hyper self yet..but that's to be expected. She's still not eating though..so they had the wife boil some chicken and rice and bring it up to her and they were hoping she would eat for the wife. But..that failed..she had no interest in it at all. They said we could take her home today if we wanted to...but they are still concerned with her not eating..so we are going to give it until tomorrow before we bring her home. Hopefully she will start eating by then.

GoChiefs, Its that hospital food plus who likes boiled chicken and rice. Try some warm chicken n noodle soup with a tea spoon of bacon grease in it. Just don't over do it at first.

She's a husky..she'll eat anything meat. LOL Plus..she took some of the regular dog food she's used to at home with her too..she didn't want any part of that either.

Give ur Husky some of the crow that Massillon fans have to eat every year. There must be enough to go around? 22 years worth, anyways? We disagree on everything, but I wish your dog a healthy recovery!!

GoCheifs, huskies are pretty jealous over their food. When you bring her home put her in her pen but let your other dogs sniff at her food through the cage. Sometimes that kicks in instinct. Also if she is watching you eat, give her a couple nibbles of what you are eating.
Good luck !!!

Indeed..I've never seen a dog as territorial about their food as bad as a Husky is. But with her being so young..she doesn't have that instinct yet. It hasn't kicked in. Other dogs being around her food doesn't bother her yet. So I fear that may not do the trick. But it's definitely a good idea and worth a shot.

I tried. Lets let everyone know i sent you a PM sincerely wishing your dog a healthy recovery. You chose to call me names and not accept my well wishes. Yet, you tell me nothing i say here pisses you off bc this is just a message board?

Are you really that retarded? I'd say lets let everyone know how big of a **** you are...but hey...I'm sure everyone is already aware of that right? :) If the truth is calling you names..then so be it..and I have no need for your fake well wishes either. As I said in the pm...half of a sincere post doesn't make up for another 1800 posts where you do nothing but act like an asshole.

And yes..this is a message board..if anyone gets upset on it..they need some help. Probably just about as much help as someone that actually believes that they make someone mad on a message board.

That's pretty funny how you feel the need to bring up a PM on this thread though. LOL Keep tryin'.

Well said. Especially for someone that is supposed to remain objective and Moderate the HS Forum. You acknowledged I Pm'd you with a sincere well wishing, and you declined.

Do I think your an ass? Most certainly. Am I still objective and do my job on the forum the way I'm supposed to? Most certainly. My opinion of you in know way shape or form has any kind of affect on how the HS forums are ran.

I mean..if you want to continue trying to make someone look like a jackass..go ahead. But you're failing. The only one that's looking like the jackass right now is you. You're the one trying to be phony here...not me. Your little 'gimmick' is already known around here. You say something..then when someone replies.."oh look at me..I'm the good guy! Why you picking on me?" You do it all the time. It's not a secret.

Of course I acknowledged it..unlike you..I'm not going to lie about a PM..it's just a PM..makes no difference to me. What I have to say to you through PM..I'd have no problem saying on the forum. You chose to PM me...remember? I simply replied. You can plead all you want about your intentions..but there was no 'sincere' well wishes about it..we all know you by now..plus...IT'S TEH INTERNETS guy. GET OVER IT.
