That was the best game they played all year. After watching them almost lose to Whitehall (who was terrible) I really thought that they would get beat badly. The talent level at N.C. for girls BB is starting to dry up, the girls do not like playing for that coach there are several girls that would of helped them this year but they did not want to play for him. If it wasn't for the Blair sisters I would not want to guess what the record would been this year. On a side note i was watching the Hillard Bradley coaches, they were writing a bunch of stuff down and discussing things that they could do.
Sounds a lot like the situation at NC for girls basketball is a lot like the situation at Utica for a certain fall sport I know of...
And yes, Bradley has been at our last two games, both the assistant and head coach as well as the majority (if not all) of their starters/players off the bench. Which isn't a bad idea if you have a bye like they had. As I said above, I think we'll play a lot better; it can't be much worse than that game yesterday (NC played their best game, and that's easily the worst game we've played all year). All I can tell you is that if we refuse to get back on defense, Bradley might put up 60 by halftime. I don't think our coaching staff will let that happen, but that's only half the battle. We need to play with emotion, like we did when playing Loudonville last month. I haven't seen a ton of emotion since then; im sure our girls get worn down, and possibly even a little bored trying to focus when the majority of the teams we play have won about 5 games or less all season, so it's difficult to get up for every game. However, I hope we realize that this is our biggest game of the season and we need to come out fired up, in addition to executing the x's and o's. If not, it'll be 5 players last game ever, and I'd rather not see that happen quite yet.
GO U!
