As a wonderful idea (I was given), it does seem like the issue of gay couples being able to adopt children, marry or whatever is sort of political, since government is the entity that decides these things. So I believe it's a SUPER idea for this forum to be the place to discuss this.

If they are responsible and can provide a good, solid foundation for a child to grow, then yes.

I have seen many gay couples adopt and I have yet to see a failure. I am in the middle of the gay community in Seattle and I have seen gay and lesbian couples who have stayed together for 30 or 40 years. Those are the ones who usually adopt. I also know gay single people who have adopted. Again, I have never seen a failure. The criteria for adopting should be stable people who can bring love into a home. The sexuality of the adopting people should not be taken into account.
