Tickets for this thing START at $160.00. Who in there right mind would pay that kind of money for an autograph signings???

Another $20.00 for 'premium items'

Another $25.00 for him to sign something besides his name...HE EVEN DOES SCRIPTURES! Of course..you have to pay the $25.00

Pay another $40.00 and you can have your picture taken with him!

Would God approve of him selling signatures with bible quotes for money?

I don't think he would.

I'm not knocking Tebow for the prices..I'm laughing at the company that's putting it together. The prices are theirs..not Tebows...Tebow gets paid a flat fee just to show up I'd assume.

probably*

He has every bet of input in the prices. If I was an athlete and they said, "Hey, we are going to charge $120 a head to get your autograph PLUS $25 if you write some scripture PLUS $25, yada yada yada", I'd tell them to fuck off. That's VERY selfish. Yes PART of it goes to charity but what about the other part? Tim Tebow's wallet/money clip. He is doing this now while he still has some worth because wants the NFL draft comes by he will be worth less than Akili Smith was back in 1999.

You're not going to tell them that if they tell you "Hey..come sign some stuff for us for a few hours..we'll give you $20,000.00."

Sorry, if I was a soon to be millionaire, $10,000 isn't going to make be a sellout.

(note: Tebow probably won't be a big time millionaire but I'm putting into the prospective as if I was a big name athlete.)

Maybe not chiefs, but the point is that the player does own ultimate control.

$20,000 right now? He hasn't smelled the millions yet...nothing is guaranteed. If you say you wouldn't take $20,000 for 4 hours of work..well..I'd find that hard to believe..regardless of how much money you knew you were going to come into. Hell..I'm sure he's making more than 20 g's anyways.

As for him having ultimate control...I'm sure he doesn't care what they charge..as long as he makes his money. And frankly..who can blame him? I'm sure you're going to have idiots lined up out the door for this. If you were a businessman..you'd be trying to make as much money from it as you could as well.

Hell no I don't blame him. With the clock on the wall reading 14 minutes and 32 seconds on that 15 minutes, I'd most likely be cashing in too.

Troy Smith's autograph cost close to this much ($139 apiece, if I remember right) with nothing going to charity. Heck, the company hosting it had a listing with the pricing structure, followed by an apology for how much the autographs cost.

I don't remember much complaining about that...but I agree wholeheartedly that only backwoods hicks would pay that much for a guy who just graduated college and has an NFL future that can best be described as "tenuous".

It's an autograph. It's not worth paying that much for. Even if it was Troy Smith, I think it is crazy.

I also think the company selling Troy Smiths autograph went under or got sued or something if I remember right. I know he came into where i worked and our bosses agreed to let him have pictures there to be auctioned off (our business got free pictures to display in the deal) and after like 2 moths he just stopped coming in and never came back for the pictures. Sadly a couple of the pictures got stolen by guests. (On a side note one of the girls who worked there graduated with the girl who stole the pictures and found her on MySpace to turn her in and the cops arrested her on the OSU vs Michigan game day)

I'm a huge Buckeye fan and I wouldn't cross the street to get a FREE Troy Smith autograph let alone buy one! Troy Smith cost the Bucks 2 Natl Championships and is the all-time worst Heisman winner.
