I'm thinking Adam and Eve = Rose and Bernard.

I'm still going with my thoughts that Jacob is actually evil. Maybe I am totally wrong, but I think he may be the bad one and "Locke" aka Smoke Monster, Esau, whatever his name is, is not as bad as we think. I think Jacob has everyone brainwashed into believing Esau is bad, Esau seems to be the only one that gives answers.

Wow I am glad they answered a lot of questions like they said they would last night lol. Did the majority of Lost fans not make it over to this huddle? It just seems like the Lost threads were always packed on JJ.

I can't believe there are only 10 episodes left (I think). So we're really coming down to the wire here.

The last episode made me think of Passover: the people being held captive in the temple (like the Jews), and the smoke monster (angel of death) coming in and wiping out those who were not "its people." Like the Pharaoh in the biblical story, the one holding everyone captive (Dogen, the Asian dude) lost his son. I guess in theory that would make Syed Moses, but that is about as far as I have gotten haha

We talked about this the other night. The smoke monster is also interesting because in Exodus we learn that G-d leads the Jewish people in the form of a pillar of smoke during the day.

If continuing on the biblical theme, I'd say it is pretty obvious that Aaron will have a major role at the end of the series. Aaron after all is considered the first of the Jewish priests.

I also think that Jack's son David (in the alternate timeline) will be important, as David is considered one of the greatest kings and it is believed that the messiah is one of his descendants.

Speaking of Jack's son, can someone explain how that is possible. Considering that the son is clearly a teenager, that would have meant that Jack would have had to have him long before he went to Australia to pick up his dead father. I'd like to see how that works out ...

They apparently have made some different choices prior to the crash.
John Locke is with the woman "Katy Segal" he left prior.
Hugo has good luck.
Kemey is an overlord, not a mercenary.

Was Jack with someone prior to "Julie Bowen"?

Good point. Didn't really think about the others. Perhaps it's something along the lines of if you alter your future you change your past. Usually time travel references deal with the reverse scenario.

They altered the past in 1977 by blowing the bomb or whatever...so whatever has happened since 1977 has now changed. Any number of interactions since then have chaned, so therefore the reality in present day (2004) has now changed...the plane didn't crash and things go on. The only one with the same issues would probably be Sawyer, since his parents were killed before 1977.
Alot of people forget that what they are showing in the alternative timeline is set in 2004, but the Island-time stuff is 2007. So there's a 3 year gap there also.
There could be all kinds of explanations, we'll find out the next 6 weeks or so I guess.

Of course. So much to digest.

GREAT episode tonight. Benjamin Linus is indeed a changed man. And Jack appears to be a man of faith now more than ever.
