Duke had a nice run, but check the overall series. I believe UNC still holds a 30 game advantage. ;)

You lose all credibility with this one. Kidzworld.com??? Did you see what "rivalry" was listed second?? Pacers/Pistons since 2004? How many of those games have meant anything at all? The match up is filled with plenty of "tough defence." Wow, thrilling storyline there.

Try this one:

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls

go to the 3rd feature poll. You'll see outside of Ohio and Michigan, no one cares about the OSU/Michigan rivalry. I know its a hard concept for a lot of bucknutz to wrap their brains around.

The 3rd poll has nothing to even do with football. And since when does the name of a website mean anything? I see you decided to ignore the first link I posted which was an ESPN ARTICLE as well as the other site I posted.

Ignoring 2/3 of the polls shows that you just lost all credibility.

Thanks for the information....:P The point of the post was to point out dominant runs from both schools...that I believe weakens a rivalry.

Too bad most of those Carolina wins came when they were still shooting at peachbaskets.

Duke Basketball was not any where close to being a program of note from 1920-1961.

The arrival of Jeff Mullins and Art Heyman signified the beginning of Duke Basketball as we know it.

If you wipe out the series from their first meeting in 1920 all the way to 1960
The Duke Carolina series is much closer than the 130-98 tally.

So to make it look better for the Dookies you have to get rid of 40 years of basketball.

1920-1960 Carolina was still playing teams from the local YMCA

Duke University consisted of a few buildings and old tobacco plant homes.

The most hilarious thing I saw last night was the fact that OSU-Michigan wasn't even mentioned as an option on ESPN's Sports Nation poll last night for the best rivalries of the last decade.

Fact is, that rivalry can't hold a candle to Duke-Carolina. No one else around the country cares.

The most hilarious thing I saw last night was when the PTI pair, Kornheiser and Wilbon, discussed the duke-vs-North Carolina game.

Wilbon:"Usually this game is a 10, but this game is about a 4. I will not watch this game, it isn't worth it. It is about 6 or 7 on my priority list. The game of the night isn't duke-vs-UNC, it is Syracuse-vs-UConn."

The fact is that it takes two teams to make a rivalry. The past few years, duke and michigan have not held up their end of the bargain.

Jay Mariotti being the ridiculous shill he is said he planned on watching New Mexico UNLV instead since "both of those teams are ranked"

OSU Michigan football is still pretty intense. It is up there 1 or 2

Carolina is up 70-55 since Dean took over in '61. So Carolina had a 17 game advantage over the 40 years you want to throw out and a 15 game advantage over the last 50 years. So both eras are pretty comparable.

Again, you're going to discount 4 years of basketball to make the series look better for the Dookies....

Yeah, I don't think its out of the question to discount seasons when a program is developing.

Much in the same way, If I were to look at your body of work
Years 0-3 Wildcats was a chronic bedwetter and notorious pooper of the pants.

However, when he matured out of diapers he has since decreased the intensity of his pooping and wetting himself.

Unfortunately, as we all will, he will return to this type of behavior in his elder years.

So in order to get a better handle on the true history of his ability to control his bladder and bowels I am going to discard his developmental and anticipated issues.
