Old Rider,
Lost to Glenoak (a .500 team).....71-67.

Timken coach (not the assistant) talked like the PAC isnt preparing them for the tourney...and I agree. How much prep does beating Tuslaw, Manchester and Fairless? They could leave the league and really schedule up. They need to join the fed or be an independent. Of course, their football team would get slaughtered in the fed.

That district is stacked over in Canton. Whoever gets out will have really earned it.

Speaking of one-and-done, my Wooster Generals did the same tonight. That team played with absolutely zero intensity and looked like they didn't even want to be on that court. These Wooster kids attitudes towards sports are going to make me a Red Rider yet...

Nice to see you still have your sense of humor BRF....even with all the "crap" going on.

Amazing that you beat Orrville and then play flat. I know that's a tough district...but you got beat by 20.

I'm off to check Twitter, maybe the Woo kids have some reaction on there.

Good Luck Riders. Only one day before you play . The coach is depending on everyone to play. Stay focused on what is important.

You know the sad thing about ccrolly's post? I really don't think the people in wooster really care that the bball team played with no intensity? The only people to respond to it are orrville people. I am so glad that I am from orrville......yes we as fan's may argue or disagree on here...but we care and have passion for the school!! The kid's on the team's care and want to win also.....that's all you can really ask is'nt it? I feel for ya cc, and i'm sure there are alot of wooster people who feel as you do.....just wish they would get out and be heard!! That would make thing's very entertaining on here!!

It's interesting for sure.

You could argue that wooster has more going on, more distractions for kids, so high school sports arent as big of a deal...and that's probably true to a degree.

And you could argue that high school sports is ALL we have in Orrville, and that we obsess over it, to a maybe unhealthy degree....which could be partially true also.

We're neighbors, but to me, Orrville just gets into sports more seriously than Wooster does. It seems so long ago that Wooster dominated us in football, but it was just the first part of the 2000's.

They've won 1 of the last 9 meetings in basketball, and haven't won in football since 2004. That's kind of a big drought....thus the apathy....at least in terms of Orrville v. Wooster.

If Wooster shoots from the outside they win. If they don't they can lose. They have some athletic players and some height, but its not strong height to take the ball inside. I was hoping they could make a run, but knew it would be 2 or 3 games then done.

Some sad news was reported to me as I heard Coach Slaughter's father-in-law has passed away. Prayers go out to his family and especially his wife.

Is the last name Schrock? I heard someone say the Schrock kid from Wadsworth was related to Sly's wife....that's why I ask.

Regardless, sorry to hear that. Prayers to the families.
