Dillon had an in school suspension for giving Mr. Hamsher some trouble. Had to sit out this game. I believe I heard Groves is probably done for the season also. But MAYBE Chase could play deep in the tourney. Just gotta wait and see.

Congrats Jake on your accomplishment...you are in a fine class of 1000 point scorers!

Series...do not use my post in the same words as "players not wanting to play for the former coach"... My post was about THIS YEARS TEAM, not last years...and it had nothing to do with coach Short...you quoting me had no part of what your post was trying to prove.

It was a helluva game that will hopefully prepare both teams for the tournament trail.

Change the subject, but did anyone else see the Plain Dealer, Tony Grossi , NFL Insider column today, page C8, Nice words about Tim Hiller and maybe Holmgren might be looking at Tim as a late round sleeper. 10 paragraphs, good writeup.

Great stuff. Tim will have a shot somewhere. He did really well at the combine over the weekend. I said before and will say again, whatever team takes a chance on him will become my favorite team. Good luck to Tim.

Longest broad jump of any of the QB's (9'10") and like the 6th highest vertical jump (32 1/2").....both feats accomplished with 2 surgically repaired knees.

I think his combination of ability, size and smarts gets him a look....probably no earlier than the 6th or 7th round though.

I don't care what round...this is a very exciting time for the Hiller family and community. No matter what happens in the draft or the NFL Tim has represented himself very well.

Absolutely....he's done it all with respect and humility...and should be an example for kids in this community and area on how to work hard and take advantage of what's in front of you....and to maximize your opportunity.

I agree with your ideas on the blog but i do have a problem with the press. I think it should be use when we bring in Corbett and Andre because neither of them are an offensive threat and need the press to create offense, while the starting 5 are in I would use it spottingly just as something to throw off their offense, we can't have any one of the 5 starters getting into foul trouble.

Good point...and probably the reason it's used sparingly.

Good thoughts and I agree 100%.

I thought Ingram showed some nice skill on senior night. He's a 4-6 point a game guy but seems to be playing under control and a guy that can make FT's.

I would like to see some old 1/2 court trap...the 1-3-1 is what we used to run..i havent seen much of it (if any) this season, but I know coach Slaughter knows it well.
I would trap and/or press all night long. Lets force some of these county teams to play our tempo, instead of playing to their level. Get after it from tip-off to the last whistle and don't let off the gas!!!

Uh huh. it seems so simple.

No reason we should be in a low scoring, low tempo game.

I would have to think that Coach has been saving some stuff for tourney time. That has been a big issue in the past. We just did what we did all season no matter what teams did to us. New era!

Good luck Riders!

It might not be a bad idea to start Brenner instead of Sam and then bring all the speed guys in at the same time. Corbett , Andre and Sam. I have been impressed with Brenner and really like those three coming in together and creating havoc.

Just curious if anybody saw Timken was a 1 and done in the tourney. Some things never change... And most of you know what I am talking about.

I'm sure it was the refs fault, or the Timken kids....they probably don't listen & don't have a heart for basketball.
