TV actually does no justice to how slow Ben Crane's game is. ... but he's even slow on TV.
Furyks pretty slow in his own right, but Crane is in a world of his own.
It'd drive me nuts playing with Ben Crane.

Sergio was pretty bad when he did "waggle waggle, re-grip, waggle, re-grip, waggle waggle, re-grip, waggle, swing" routine. But he's not near as bad anymore.

If you had to look for your ball after every shot, how were you playing college golf? lol

Yeah. Here is something I agree with you completely on Zwick. Did you see that Rory Sabbatini thing a few years ago when he literally played an entire hole ahead of Crane while playing with him.

Also, what is your opinion on the whole square grooves/Ping Eye2 controversy? Personally I don't have a problem with Phil playing them, as they are legal technically. I don't think he needs them though, and could save a lot of headaches by just switching. I know Tiger switched for the entire 2009 season. I am sure Phil creates just as much if not more spin with his wedge shots than Tiger does.

I think if I were Phil, I wouldn't play them. I know Phil thinks it's a stupid rule and is giving the tour a big fuck you... but he's leaving himself open for criticism.

I agree too. I mean, there is no other player better than him with a wedge in his hands. I am sure he would be fine with the new stuff.

Well Phil knows the advantages of the square grooves outta the rough and knows his driver is pretty sporadic and is hitting a lot of approaches outta the rough

Glen "All" Day was once voted by his peers slowest player on tour.

Funny nickname too

Crane plays a little quicker than Day does, but only because Crane is one of the world's best putters. He drains em when he is on the dancefloor.

I always thought Bernhard Langer was one of the slowest players out there, although he does not play as much, at least not in the states it seems.

That's largely because he's now old enough for the Champion's Tour.

Which tour? Just kidding, I only ask because there were two kids Ryan and Matt, I forget their last names that I somehow ALWAYS got paired with in youth tournaments, including a few AJGA tournaments. These kids not only spent 1 minute hitting the ball once they were ready, but also walked extremely slow, and took forever to putt.

I guess it's okay on the PGA Tour to take a little longer to putt because of how good you are, but at the youth level, no one is good enough to take that much time.

Great call on Bernhard Langer. It always drove me nuts to try and watch while he was playing.

Crane is very slow. The tour needs to reach down and grab a pair. Once they start actually giving a 2 stroke penalty a couple of times, instead of just putting players on the clock, play will speed up.

Or at least shorten the clock. Instead of given them so much time to get caught up, make them get caught up by the end of the hole they are on or enforce a penalty. Although then you run into issues where Cranes playing partner would also be penalized (you'd have to penalize the whole group) even though it wasn't his fault they were on the clock to begin with.

Slow golfers are douchebags. You don't need a ten year long set up for every shot.
