I agree with LJ, the worst part of UT is knoxville. i'd spend as little time there as I could. the scenery around knoxville is top shelf though.

You can hunt, fish and mountain bike after you graduate. How many people actually do that in college? I know a few people that went to SEC state schools (i.e., not Vanderbilt) from Ohio, including two cousins that started at Auburn and a student my dad had that started at South Carolina. None of them made it through their freshman year, I'm not sure it was even homesickness, they just didn't fit in. It isn't easy being an out of state student at a college where the supermajority of students are from the home state.

Why do you give a fuck where I wanted to go to school? Also, why would I give up my top hobbies while in college?

Because you are criticizing something that isn't here for you to be critical about. Why do you care so much about my personal feelings on something? I told you one of the main reasons I wanted to go there, leave it at that.

I was recruited heavily by NYU in basketball and they said they could get me in. But tuition was $40,000 and my parents made it clear they were not paying for my college tuition (because I was a D2 caliber basketball player and my parents knew I'd get a full ride).

Wish I would have been able to go to NYU.

Other than that, I decided to transfer after my freshman year to another D2. Wish I would have looked at D2's all over the country because it was going to be a full ride and I could have went anywhere.

Not that I totally regret going to college at Ashland, because I enjoyed it, but I wish I would have seen the bigger picture at that time.

Well ideally I would've gone to OSU to play football but seeing that I'm 5'8 150 lbs. that didn't happen. Other than that I would have liked to go to college with some of my good friends from home but they go to Muskingum. I guess I wish they would've came to OU with me.

I continued to hunt and fish all through college. Moreso than now since i have a job.

I probably would go to Drexel. I was going to go there but then got sticker shocked away from it. Shouldn't have let that happen because then I went to Ashland U. and hated it. Now I'm at YSU and it's much better but I still think Drexel would've been sweet.

Part of me wishes i would have played D3 lax somewhere or that i wouldnt have turned down Loyola Chicago (i had already put in my deposit with BG and my grandma had just passed away so my mom really wanted me to stay close) ... BUT i had a free ride to BG and it was def worth it... I made some amazing friends and setting aside one douchebag ex-bf it was pretty amazing... my life would be completely different if i didn't go there and i doubt i wouldve decided to change my major(originally an History Ed major) and decided on Psychology (knowing i would be pursuing some form of grad school)

People always say that about schools down here. We go out on the lake, hike, plus mountain weekends are the bomb. I also love golfing and have been able to play comfortably for the last two weeks (damn cold snap starts tonight though).

I should have worked on my Masters at Northwestern or M.I.T., I had the opportunity to go to both, but had a wife and kid and chose to get an engineering job instead. I then got my masters at Akron U taking night classes instead.

No real regrets on my college choices. I would have liked to go to Notre Dame, but I screwed around in high school too much and didn't have the grades to get it even though I had the test scores you needed for admittance. Had a great time at Kent so it all worked out well for me!

No your memory is correct, but not for college, for grad school, and we live in Virginia so I probably mention UVA more often since we go to more events there, but my wife and I are both Commodores....and yes, Vandy women are unbelievably hot.

I'm content with my alma mater, but I sometimes regret turning down a full ride from Ohio State. Also, I applied to Arizona State just for fun, and was ignorant of their glorious reputation.

I loved OSU...woudln't have changed where I went....just what I majored in. There many things concerning classes, majors, and internships that I know now that would have been very useful about 5 years ago.
