iPad, what a stupid name. People won't be able to tell what the New York/Boston accented people mean.
I agree. I am very disappointed in the name.

"Ipad"
"Did you mean to say Ipod but you just have a stupid accent that makes it sound like Ipad or did you mean to say Ipad?"
"Ipad"
"Um..."

Yeah laptop > Ipad.
Why not just let apple users use their iphone apps on their laptops. That is all this seems to be, is a giant ipod touch.

I just can't see where I would use this thing. I guess if I was a dedicated netbook user I would consider ditching it for this.
I wonder if you could run Iwork or office on it? If I could get away with leaving my computer at home and take this on the road and still do some work I would consider getting one.

I'm pretty disappointed with what I've heard so far...I'm no mac fanboy or anything, this just had a lot of hype, and seems to be pretty useless.
The only apple product I own is a 32gb Ipod touch 3g, and had high expectations for this iTampon, but it just doesn't seem useful or practical at all....It's pretty much a big ipod touch/iphone, and anyone in their right mind would surely spend $600+ on a laptop before buying this (unless you have money to burn).

The announcement of this today has basically crashed Twitter. It was running an 8-9 minute delay as the announcement was made.

$499, not too bad of a price.
Still not worth it. Save your cash and get an iPod Touch which does damn near everything this thing does.

Apple just needs to announce the Iphone on a different network. This thing is stupid cause the cost of ownershihp will be crazy with a monthly plan. Who wants more monthly payments?

The best thing is, regardless of how retarded and redundant to other existing technology this thing is, they will sell tens of millions simply because it's a new Apple.
