Grove City College is not Pittsburgh, PA. Also, were you allowed to walk on the grass?

Thanks. Congrats to your son.

Random pointless fact: the optometry students actually come to the dental school to take our pharmacology class with us.

"BA from Colgate"

Are you an Adonal Foyle fan?

Seriously, I went to grad school with a woman that played basketball undergrad at Colgate, she was an incredible point guard. Probably not quick enough to be in the WNBA but in the recreation center she held her own with guys that played D-II and D-III basketball.

Actually, I never was a basketball fan, which wasn't very big at 'Gate when I was there. Football and Hockey were king.

I went to school with Mark Van Eeghen (Oakland Raiders) and Mike Milbury ( Boston Bruins, NY Islanders and ESPN analyst.)... and knew both of them on an acquaintance basis. Van Eeghen lived across the hall from me in our apt. bldg, so I knew Mark pretty well, and was a big fan of his when he played in the NFL.

Yeah I remember Van Eeghan, old school Oakland Raider, not like the clowns they have now. I've never been to that part of New York but I hear the campus is really beautiful.

The campus sits up on a hill, and the view especially during autumn is breathtaking. Upstate NY is beautiful, and I do miss it. It has been years since I've been back.:(...I got 35 years coming up this year....I really should try to go!

Van Eeghen played when Ed Marinaro was at Cornell. When Colgate and Cornell squared off, the games were high scoring affairs with those two guys chewing up huge chunks of yardage against the defenses.

Yeah I know about the Cornell/Colgate rivalry, my wife's stepfather went to Cornell- from what I understand another gorgeous campus but really, really cold.

My upstate New York experiences are limited to Albany....probably not the best measure of the area.
