Stuff should be legal. I was kinda a hothead in high school and started out a bit that way in college. I credit it for helping to chill me out mentally. Maturity likely played a big role in me becoming less high-strung and more relaxed, but I strongly feel a good part of that came about due to indulging in a lot of THC.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but you've mentioned multiple times that you frequent FreeHuddle and post while at the office. If your IT people are paying any attention whatsoever, a thread like this could bite you in the ass. Careful!

It's absurd that we let what old white guys in Columbus tell us what to do when it involves no one but ourselves.

my friend here at school just got arrested for it, kicked off the baseball team...his parents said they will take him out of school if he doesnt:

call them at 8:30 every morning
go to church every sunday
get a 3.0
write a letter to team/coach apologizing

they also took all of his clothes away except 6 shirts, 2 pairs of pants and some underwear and socks and are donating it ALL

personally, i have too much to lose and risk being a college athlete and trying to get into med school, cant have something like that on my record
Haha!!! This is hilarious!!!! Parents!!!!!

How crazy are they. You have to go to church every Sunday or we'll ruin your future.....

Call them at 8:30???? Why 8:30??? Just so he's up early then goes right back to sleep or what????

i'm not sure haha i thought the most ridiculous part was the taking of the clothes..most of which his parents bought so they are basically giving away what they paid for not what he paid for

Tried it a few times pre-Navy. It was alright. I'd probably use it fairly regularly if it was legal. And I wouldn't get kicked out of the Navy for using it. However, since I'm probably getting out before either of those change, its a no for now.

If your job requires random drug tests, Its not worth the loss. There are a lot more people looking in to get a job than are looking out!

Used to a lot! I'd much prefer it to alcohol. I'm a big light weight, and hate being hung over just from drinking a beer or two. That said, haven't touched the stuff since I had kids (13 years) and as long as its illegal, won't. Got way too much to lose.

Not statistically true. But your point is still valid.

Also in that boat.

I mean, I drink a lot of limeade and tea. Which is probably racy somewhere, in some part of the world.

I don't know where you get your stats but if you have a good paying job with benefits, why take a chance(espically if your the main bread winner and your family depends on you)?

I don't remember where I read this but if the odds are 1000 to 1 of you getting called up and they call your #, Odds are now 1 to 1.

Good luck if you like those odds but you're putting a lot on the table.

I wasn't arguing that it was worth the risk, I was just saying that statistically there are more people with jobs than without, even with the recession there is what, 12% unemployed?

I don't smoke, and if it were legal, I probably would not still. At least not on a daily basis. I'm down with it, though. Same thing as drinking. If you wanna do it, fine by me. Just don't put others in danger and make poor choices.
