Since when do u call a technical for talking shit? I've played basketball for a lot of years and tonight was the first time I've gotten a technical for talking shit.
Him and I were going at it all night, mostly cuz he bitched about a foul every time he drove and missed it and the ref didn't call one. I posted him up and put a lil jump hook in and said "u guys better get someone else on me " and got Tee'd up lol.. I was speechless.

Have you ever got a technical for talking shit?

btw... I usually don't talk shit when I play unless the guy I'm covering is a little whiny bitch.

yep, about 4 yrs ago I got teed up for leaving up the "goose neck" while jogging back. Rec basketball is serious business.

The only "T" I ever got was in a church league game many years ago. My "crime" was saying to the ref.."C'mon man"..............he had it in for me.

got it, maybe the refs in that league just have a low tolerance for that kind of stuff, or maybe just that individual ref

As an 8th grade coach I got T'd up for telling a ref to take control of the game. This after 1 foul was called in the first 3 quarters.

I agree Zwick. It sounds like B.S. to me. I played in a league years ago and you could have pulled a gun with out getting a T never mind a foul being called. It was brutal.

Also got a T while playing in 8th grade for pulling my arms out of a tie up and holding them above my head. Ref told my coach that he thought I was raising my fists to fight. Coach then later got tossed by the same ref.

I had a ref in a rec league threaten to T our bench(basically me, as the player-coach) because we had a player get down on all fours so another kid could jump off his back and try to dunk. I don't even remember what his reasoning was, but he said "if you guys try that again I'll T you up." I about lost it.
