Wow the freddies played close to 2 months ago there. Being the field is only 2 years old it's the only time they have played on that surface. The Grove City Christian Malvern game is at Zanesville this week. That's 4 weeks this year GCC has played there. A regular season game agianst Rosecrans, week 11 against Rosecrans, last week against Shadyside and again this week against Malvern. I don't see any Malvern posters complaining. Again I would go any where to watch my team play this week, you should count your blessing.
You DO realize that you're chronically complaining about chronic complaints, right? ;)

Anyhow, I'm just seeing posts by people from the Wood that have had to drive ~11 hours total the last 2 weeks to see the boys play and would've liked to have seen this game a little closer to the middle ground that's all. Don't worry so much about us, we'll get it out of our system soon and start concentrating on Friday night. The players actually like the long ride to get out of school early and get a little nap time on a chartered bus. It's all good.

Chicken flight is effected by winds aloft and KFC franchises, but I feel confident the rubber one will make it,probably early!

Also,go easy on Junior,or his hoopers may run the score up on the woodies.Hopefully the refs cheat for Ridgewood basketball too.

No matter how far Ridgewood has to drive the wood faithful wont be to far behind. The best route to the game is through 541.... Knocks 15 or 20 mins off the trip and like earlier posted you wont hit the construction going on the 161... Good Wood.. Ridgewood by 10....24-14....

I believe it is an old, wooden ship used in the Civil War.

Poor facility for a Regional Championship game. Both teams played at nicer venues last week. Just shows its not who you know, but who................... when it comes to the OHSAA

I agree that we should be playing at a nicer facility. It should not just be about the turf field only the place should also have enough seating and locker rooms that are of better quality, and parking is going to be a huge issue. Ridgewood sold over 600 tickets last week and look for the school to sell more this week. The set up at Lancaster last weekend was nice other than they did not have a turf field. But on the other hand I am glad the Generals have made it this far and would go watch them play anywhere. Go Generals bring home the win!!!

Just did a little research, according to Google, "Freddie is a television sitcom created by, and starring, Freddie Prinze Jr. that aired from October 5, 2005 to April 12, 2006. Freddie is inspired by Prinze Jr.'s real life, growing up in a house filled with women. His life-long friend, Conrad Jackson, co-created this series with Prinze, along with executive producers Bruce Helford and Bruce Rasmussen.

Amazing role he played in "Summer Catch" and "She's All That." It's no wonder they would name themselves the Freddies.

Word on the street is that under that Freddie mascot face will be none other than the one and only Luke Perry. In addition to his appearance, Steve Sanders, Dylan and Brenda Walsh, along with the rest of the crew from 90210 will be taking in this game as well. Awesome!

Parking will be a problem with both schools bringing large crowds. Make sure you get there early so you can get a place to park.
