Best on the list goes to Randy Rhodes... Best I have ever witnessed live? A musician by the name of Carlo Vohl. Unbelievable guitar player. Saw him do the Free Bird solo and his bottom string broke... Never missed a note and tuned the other strings while he played.

Django Reinhardt, dude only had two working fingers on his fret hand and still managed to be insanely awesome at guitar.

Seriously though, it isn't even a conversation if you don't include Django.

He was who I was looking for.

Clapton for sure. Love his guitar.

Love BB King too. And John Mayer has similar style.

His song "Crossroads" on his newest ablum has an AMAZING riff in it.

Correcting myself: Mayer actually covered the song "Crossroads" from somebody.

The somebodies name is Eric Clapton.

Clapton also covered that song from Robert Johnson.

Very difficult to determine who is the GOAT guitar player.

Here are a couple that most peers will say they certainly belong in the discussion.

Chet Atkins here plays Two songs at the exact same time. Twist heads around time. Yankee doodle dixie.

And for further head twisting. Merle Travis Cannonball rag.

Now I am not much of a country music guy but those two are exceptions because they can flat out knock your ass out with their playing.

Axl may be an asshole, but you're seriously retarded if you don't think he's a good singer.
