Just got off the phone with him. He says that at the LOWEST, I should see the same base I had before, and that I was incredibly underpaid based on my qualifications (I already knew this, as I made less than 50% of the industry average for my position). He also thinks he might know of a job for me right this second, for which I'll be looking at a competitive salary, good bennies, and I'll be able to work remotely, so I won't have to move.

And working remotely has its benefits, too!
